We are looking at changing the way the Gamball works next season....
One way of  changing the Gamball to lessen the impact was a suggestion forwarded to the executive committee by St Charles Owl, Below is his idea and new way of scoring,
Also below this will be a couple of examples from this week(week 32) Scores and how the new scoring compares to the old way so you can all see how this one Idea would work    

Also new Balls will be in force as their is a problem accessing some of the Smilies;

 Bonus ball stays the same
Insurance ball , Bob your tongue out .... cant take any points of me !!
Gamball the I can't look image suits this ball more than any other ........

St Charles new proposal

Incorrect Result = - 1 point
Incorrect Result (Insurance Ball) = 0
Incorrect Result (Bonus Ball) = - 2
Incorrect Result (Gamball) = -3 * changed from -4

Correct Result = + 2 points
Correct Result (Bonus Ball) = + 3 * changed from +4
Correct Result (Gamball) = +4  * Changed from +8
Correct Score = + 4 points
Correct Score (Bonus Ball) = + 6  * changed from +8
Correct Score (Gamball) = +8   * Changed from +16

As you can see the incorrect scoring has not really changed apart from a wrong Gamball you now gain a point if you get it wrong, was -4 now its -3.
The changes only kick in if you correctly guess a result or a correct score,
The Bonus has slightly changed with a correct result down one to 3 instead of 4 points
And a correct score Bonus down two to 6 instead of 8 points
The Gamball where the big Issue was has a huge change, a correct result will now be just 4 points down from 8
And a correct score on the Gamball will be now just 8 points instead of 16 !!
This is a 50% drop on the Gamball thus ensuring people who get lucky with just this one result/score does not affect the predictors who predict well to suffer.
This should also keep things so much tighter and keep the Interest going for most people right to the very end,
Also the third from bottom of the premiership will play off against the third in the table from the Championship to keep even more excitement going, they will have to predict through all the Playoffs and the winner obviously takes their place in the Premier League the following season

Under the NEW system here's how it changed

Total = 12 Points, 8 points less under the new system,

Now DD had 2 correct scores and 5 correct results, so the next example I will use will be the Jokers scores,
Joker had 2 correct scores also and 4 correct results just one less than DD yet ended up with just Six points,

Total = 6 Points Exactly the same as he scored under the old System,

So what's changed ?
As you see there is NO difference in Jokers score overall, but what it has done as I mentioned earlier Joker had only one less correct result than DD yet found himself 14 Points off the leader,
Under the new System Joker HAS NOT been penalised to much as overall his scores were as good as most of the others, So  from a 14 point deficit which seemed unfair for someone who had just the one less correct result the deficit is just 6 !!!  
And remember DD got the Gamball spot on, This scoring system now rewards you guys for a good prediction Week whilst not allowing a lucky Gamball to allow a bad week to necessarily become a defining one and topping the League for the week  

OK ,....  I am Beefy   Bomber, Zinman & St Charles would like ....

1/ Your opinion on this ... (It seems good to us) So we won't listen to you anyway    
2/ Anything else you may like to add ? .......... But we won't take that into account  
3/ Have a go under the new system and work your scores out, (From Week 32) Bomber will check them if you want   and if we collect enough data see where you may have finished under the new system,the difference in points and the differential in points you have to other people EG top & bottom, we may all see then how the table over one week tightens itself up and then next season hopefully makes for a much better game
