15c would be about September-October for the UK. 20-24c would be classed as a heatwave. I'm guessing because it runs on the surface then you get floods. Sounds to me California would be the perfect place to play Cricket all year round.

20-24c is long sleeve weather for most inhabitants of LA!!! Problem in LA is its surrounded by mountains, big mountains as well, so when it rains and the water runs on the surface instead of soaking in, it picks up pace as it heads to the city. So many years ago they build massive concrete gulleys throughout the city that channel the water down to the Pacific and when it rains hard in the mountains those things are flowing very quickly and definitely save a lot of houses from flooding. They don't look great, but they do their job!! "What's cricket?" would be the likely answer from most Yanks if you suggested playing it!!! To be fair, its the perfect place to do anything all year round, and the weather here is one of the main reasons we moved from Chicago 4 years ago!!

The real benefit of rain down here is that it falls as snow on the mountains and gives some nice fresh snow on the ski resorts down here as well. Skiing in the morning and lunch by the beach - can't beat that!!
