I am still hopeful for Great Escape pt2 but was wondering who would stay/go if the worse was to happen. My thoughts are below

Goalkeepers:
01 Ben Foster (HG) - Contract expires June 2019 - Hope he stays but likely to be interest from other teams
13 Boaz Myhill (HG) - Contract extended to June 2018 - Release

Defenders:
02 Allan Nyom – Contract expires June 2020 - stay?
03 Kieran Gibbs – Contract expires June 2020 - Will want out
06 Jonny Evans – Contract expires June 2021 - will want out
16 Ali Gabr – Loan with option to buy in Summer - not sure he will have the opportunity to show he is worth a permenant contract
23 Gareth McAuley - Contract extended to June 2018 - Probably retire or stay as squad player while doing coaching badges
25 Craig Dawson (HG) - Contract extended to June 2020 - Hope he stays but likely to be interest
26 Ahmed Hegazy – Signed – Contract expires June 2022 - Stay, I hope.

Midfielders:
05 Claudio Yacob – Contract expires June 2017 (plus 1yr option) - Think he will go home
07 James Morrison (HG) – Extended contract to June 2018 - Fear that he will be released/retire due to injuries
08 Jake Livermore – Contract expires 2021 - will want out
10 Matt Phillips – Contract expires June 2020 - will want out, but may not get another club
11 Chris Brunt (HG) – Contract extended to June 2018 - Think he will stay
14 James McClean – Contract expires 2019 (Plus 1yr option) - Will go
17 Oliver Burke – Contract expires 2023 - Will stay, may do a good job for us in Championship.
18 Gareth Barry – Contract expires 2019 - Retire
20 Grzegorz Krychowiak – Season long loan - back to his parent club
22 Nacer Chadli – Contract expires June 2020 - Will go
28 Sam Field - Contract expires June 2018 - will not renew contract and will move to premiership team

Forwards:
nn Daniel Sturridge – Loan until end of season - back to parent club
04 Hal Robson-Kanu – Contract extended to June 2020 - will probably stay
09 Salomon Rondon – Contract expires June 2020 - will go
19 Jay Rodriguez – Contract expires 2021 - May stay
29 Yuning Zhang – On loan for 2 seasons to Werder Bremen e.g. back summer 2019
45 Jonathan Leko – Contract expires June 2019 – Stay, but not shown too much progress playing for Bristol City

Either I am very pessimistic or there is going to be a lot of work to be done in the summer.
