Thanks for your interest, Theo. Liverpool fans might say they wuz robbed, but Albion gave it a real go Weds night. They honestly looked top half (which most Fans claim), but we've got some good players who Pulis turned into defence robots.
Quite a lot of fans have deserted the Club because the ex Head Coach didn't think we were worthy of watching good football. (He thought we were lucky to have Premier status and that his philosophy of defend-defend and hope for the odd goal from a corner was the only possible way of keeping little old Albion in the Premier, and "I've never got a Team relegated, so be careful what you wish for.")
There was plenty of evidence on Weds that Pardew has given midfielders their wings - we actually broke out of defence, and 4-5 seconds later attacked the Kop with 5 or 6 players in their box. With Pulis it was, literally, 1 !!!
We've desperately needed a quality goalscorer for 3-4 years (ok, so has everyone), but no decent striker would want to play under Pulis, bringing their goal ratio from 1 in 3 to 1 in 10!! He just wanted a donkey upfront who might win us that corner.
I'll (we'll) have to see if Pardew is The Man, but:
