That 3-1 win in 69/70 that you mentioned, was the night that we received the 2nd division championship trophy. A great night that was.
I've been to Vicarage Road twice and seen us win them both. First time was in the League Cup in the 80s. A 2nd leg tie when they were one of the top teams in the country. And then more recently when Danny Ward scored a hattrick coming on as a sub.
Unfortunately I won't be there this Saturday. Off to the panto.
