A couple of weeks back I produced final league tables based on the current performance of teams. Barnet ended up adding almost no points to their current score and both Port Vale and Forest Green reached the play-offs. Since then both Port Vale and Forest Green have both won and lost games, so I suspect if I repeated the exercise they'd be lower down the table. We've continued upwards but we are going to lose and that changes the model radically. Currently Exeter are on course to finish way down the table, but a couple of wins will change that radically too.

If we reached the play offs we'd certainly lose our manager, Rowley and Dennis too ......... Luckily there are so many vagaries that can take their toll on relatively small squads I don't think the play-off picture will be entering our pretty little heads by mid-January. Personally I still can't see how Jack is stringing these results together with this squad. We have neither pace, nor power and as a bonus no goalkeeper either ....... and now we are reaching the point where the manager who has instilled belief into the team of former misfits is hopefully going to try to integrate new and better players, whilst preserving the same spirit.

If Jack got us to the play-offs I'd know who ought to be Arsene Wenger's replacement at Arsenal.

22nd will do for me big-time. Anything better would be a joy.
