It's not a terrible result in the circumstances - frankly, it could have been worse - but given what's starting to emerge about our new signings, I really do fear that it's one more bad chapter in a story which will get worse. If the best combination of attackers we can possibly field to provide service to Berahino is Brunt-Sessegnon-Dorrans, then we're worse off than last season, because Dorrans will never provide even a fraction of the threat from the right flank that Amalfitano did (even allowing for the fact that Amalfitano only turned it on when it suited him!).
I didn't watch MOTD to be honest, but on the occasions I do, I record it and fast-forward through the claptrap "analysis". I actually find Lineker quite entertaining on Twitter - he's clearly an intelligent bloke with a good sense of humour - but on the telly, it's an old boys club sucking up to the elite all the way.
Oh well. Bring on that long-overdue home win against Arsenal, eh?
