I so agree with you. I was listening to the same programme. For these guys it's the PL and nothing else, it's as if nothing else matters in football, so it's irrelevant how crap the football is, how fed up the fans become, how much they keep shelling out to watch this drivel....just as long as we cling to the PL by our fingertips. They also treat the "Pulis has never been relegated " mantra as an incontrovertible law and with the same reverence and surety as the laws of physics. Somehow if Pulis is your manager then you cannot be relegated; to listen to these guys you'd think the PL had written this into its constitution. Chris Sutton said, understandably, that a club in Albion's position would welcome Pulis as its new manager to get it out of the hole it was in; what he didn't say was the other half of the equation, namely who put us in the feckin' position in the first place. Like you, May68, I'm sick of the pundits, who have absolutely no understanding of the passions and frustrations of the average fan, pontificating and telling us to be grateful for what we have, since we are so fortunate to be in the PL in the first place. 12 points out of the last 60 is wretched; Pulis will not be sacked for losing to Chelsea or Arsenal, which the pundits seem to think outrageous, but for Brighton, Southampton, Huddersfield et al.
