I am sure I will fall out with some posters on this forum but hey-ho.
The club would be crazy to get rid of Pulis without giving him every chance to get us out of this situation which is at this point in time, is no worse than it was this time last year.
Some times we fans are own worst enemies. Clubs have been panicked into bad decisions taking them out of the frying pan and into the fire. Newcastle got rid of Allardyce when mid-table and they sank like a stone. Wolves kicked out McCarthy and plummeted under Connor. Remi Garde replaced Sherwood at Villa. He came with some pedigree in France but never got to grip with the Premier.
Like all Albion fans I am disappointed that, after what most of us thought was a good window we have failed to kick on. New players have underperformed and the defence has buckled at crucial points late in games surrendering 7/8 points. However the difference between success and failure is paper thin. We missed 3 points against Watford by seconds. We played against 12 at Arsenal.
Pulis, with his style of football has always divided opinions and when we don't get results the knives are, not surprisingly, out. However he has NEVER been relegated and I don't believe that will happen this year.
I have loved this club since the days of Ronnie Allen and Ray Barlow. I have seen the good, the great and the gruesome. The modern day premier league is as good as it gets. Just ask Wolves and Villa who for all their jokes would give their all to be where we are.Our football is dull but not much worse than a dozen other clubs in this league. That is the nature of the Premier. Several top clubs with shedloads of money and 13 others just hanging in there or passing through. Pulis has consistently proven to be as good as it gets at keeping clubs in the greed league.
I don't want us to be playing lovely stuff in the championship.
I see Pulis, rather than Schaaf, Potter, McInnes, Pardew, Moyes et al, as the best bet to get us back on track. Keep the faith lads, we will prevail.
