Well said meandbren I couldn't agree more.
I don't watch Premier league football now as we all know which teams are going to win the silverware even before a ball is kicked on the first day of the season.
It's no longer the peoples game it belongs to the moneymen and they couldn't care less about the state of the game as long as they are making money.
I now watch Cheltenham for my love for the game is still there....................just.
Even at that level all the dirty tricks of fouling, holding, tripping and simulation are to be seen.
I watched with pleasure the success of England's U17 team as they beat Brazil and France to win their version of the World Cup.
With the under 20's doing so well earlier in the year, the game in England should be full of promise in the years to come.
Sadly, to close on a sour note...let's hope that the Pulis's of this world don't coach it all out of them before they are old enough to play for the senior team.
