After this weeks results the Groups are now set for the first round of games which will start with the week 8 fixtures for the Prediction League.

For any upcoming cup draws we have we have been lucky enough to acquire at no cost, the classic velvet pouch traditionally used to perform the FA Cup draws in years gone by.
Beefy has kindly offered to keep this safely in his possession until it is needed, so last night we arranged for Alan Shearer and Mark Lawrenson to pop round and take it in turn to pop their hand into Beefy’s ball bag, which we’ll affectionately call it from now on   .
Shearer & Lawrenson both declined to do the next draw after suffering from a very nasty rash that they developed after coming into contact with Beefy’s ball bag, and also complained about the musty, damp smell that they had experienced which is probably down to lack of use over many years   . Beefy has reluctantly agreed to carefully wash his ball bag at least once a month as it clearly hasn’t been washed for a very long time   .

The points gained in week 8, week 12, week 16 and week 20 will also be used in the Cup Group stage, at which point the top 2 only progress to the knockout stage.
The prediction league is not affected at all, it will carry on every week until the end of the season (if we can last till then), the same matches & the same points for that will simply be used for the cup weeks as well   .
