I can't believe Mr Allen helps build us a ground, puts in all the time and work he has as Chairman and is simultaneously willing to see the club go tits by Saturday week. It doesn't make sense. He isn't a young man, who wants to leave a legacy of hatred, and if he did why would he wait all these years before pulling the trigger on us? Surely he has accumulated enough hatred from Sheffield Wednesday fans without adding a few thousand Spires to the army?
Journos, like Remainers, love Project Fear. The next disaster is always big news, and the bigger that disaster the better. Biggs is not an independent observer or reporter - he has an agenda.
Unless and until debts and losses are called in, they don't really matter. Torquay United is likely to hit Administration on the Biggs timescale, because it has a debt about to be called, which it seems to have no way of repaying. We could be like that, but at the moment our directors making statements which say nothing, so we don't know, do we?
If I won Euromillions tonight (and I've got a ticket) my first call would be to Mr Allen. Essentially the club and directors remain an irrelevance. He may not be a director or Chairman, but he remains the man with the power of life and death over the club. I'd want to know what he wants and how he sees the future.
What is happening at the moment is reminiscent of attempting to solve the Syrian conflict by negotiation, without inviting Assad and Putin.
