Summer transfers
Apparently Martin O'Neill lined up a £3 million bid for him back in 2008 when Scanz was still at Palace. Think we paid a helluva lot less than that but O'Neill did throw money around like confetti at Villa.

Apart from that - have we got anyone sat in one of the pubs down by the station?

So only Jack Senior, the reserve left back, left the club yesterday when he signed for Luton.
Or that's what we thought.
The Unexamined went to bed early and missed a late deal which saw young Jake Charles leave the club to join Barnsley.

I for one dont think he was going to make it here. He looked to have a great deal of potential but injuries hampened his progression. Probably the best idea to let him go and try elsewhere. Hopefully he does well at barnsley

No doubt those two leaving will leave people questioning the Academy again. Like erm, why do we win the league every year but we hardly see these players progress to the first team?

Similar debate has been going on around DATM. One person said that Leeds who are pretty mediocre in the academy leagues but have produced a steady stream of high quality players seem to have a good strategy. I think Hoyle has said something along the lines of 'I don't give a monkeys about 12 game unbeaten runs if we're producing no one for the first team'. Hopefully the next crop will be of better quality. Injury hampened Charles, hope the kid does well at Barnsley.

IT has been brought to my attention that Town turned down £10million for Nahki Wells at the weekend.
Don't ask where the info has come from, just believe me when I say it's not the tea lady down at Canalside

Good. In this market, well this summers he was worth at minimum 12mil plus add ons. This winters market when teams are normally desperate for players who score etc he'll be worth min 15 plus add ons

Town said they didnt need to sell and didnt want to, normally that means "unless the money is right" i guess this time they really meant it
