at last, a voice of reason.I was beginning to think it was me who had lost the game for us.

The players shoulder some of the blame but CC has to take overall responsibility for his decision that has ultimately cost the club over £1.5m.

Nobody is blaming you PEI Doh but you haven't exactly helped yourself by banging on all the time about not giving a toss about the cup, how we'd be better off out of it and how it's not worth risking our better players in it. Personally I think £1.5M is worth risking a few of the better players for.

Also, it's not that the players that played are crap individually it's that they have never actually played together as unit before. That was the big risk that CC took. It's a steep learning curve for so many players at once. I'd have said a maximum of 4 changes from the normal team and bring some more off after the game is won by the 60th minute. Look at the starting line-ups for Everton and particularly Chelsea today and learn a lesson.

I disagree Maddix! For starters the 1.5m wasn't on the table until today, sure it was possible but that is all. This is the first season in 15 years where we have a chance to get promoted to the Prem, a prize 100x bigger than the 1.5m from drawing MU in the next round!! Lets say we did play Bannan, Lee, Hutchinson, FF, Westwood etc etc and we had won but lost 2 of them in the process for 6-8 weeks like we did Lees against Stoke, that would have killed our chances of promotion!!! Maybe the simple fact is that CC knows if we are to challenge for the playoffs then our current crop of reserves are not good enough to get us there aside from some one or two game sessions to cover niggles or suspensions.

I think risking the heart of the first team, the only ones who could push us to promotion possibly this season, is a risk not worth taking. We were winning in the 86th minute, that team should have had the ability and nouse to see the game out!! If they had done their job we wouldn't be even having the conversation and everyone would be saying how great it was that we played the reserves and won!! We would also be debating what team he should put out against MU in the next round, particularly if we are still in the playoff places when it comes around.

If that tap and fall down was a penalty to them then I don't see how Nuhiu wasn't given a penalty for the defender jumping and putting both his hand on nuhius shoulders pulling him down.

This season I've seen some of the most atrocious decisions, not just in our games put EPL and other SBC matches.

It seems each season these clowns become progressively worse.

This doesn't detract from the fact Turner was shite, as were a few others. So much was wrong, it was only a team that looked decent on paper.

Give over Chaz. The possibility that we'd get a lucrative draw in the 5th round was pretty high. The teams that Chelsea and Everton put out today had the game won by HT not holding on to a one goal lead in the 86th minute and that's how it should have been done.

Anyone of those players you mention could get a season ending injury on Tuesday. A £1.5M payday (or even £0.5M from a crap draw) would have been a big help in replacing them when the loan window opens. And we've actually picked up a load of points and moved up the table without Lees (yes we may have got more with him) so that didn't exactly destroy our chances of promotion did it ?

In fairness to the individuals involved, it wasn't a team. It was a collection of individuals thrown together in a match situation for the first time. If you break down the line up it was ridiculous how little time these player have spent playing with each other.

Price, Palmer, Turner, Sasso, Bennett

Palmer has played with Turner and Sasso but not as a pair, Turner has never played with Price or Sasso, Bennett has never played with any of the defence etc.

Matias has never/hardly played with McGugan, Semedo, Bennett or Sougou

Hooper has never played with McGugan or Matias (the guys who you expect to supply his chances)

and Joao is shit  Doh

All of the individuals chosen yesterday can come into the team and do a good job (except Price  Laugh ) but to expect them all to come in as a fully functioning unit at once is bordering on insanity  Doh especially when some are just returning to fitness. It would have been hard enough for them to gel if they had all been fully fit  Doh It's no surprise that some of them were knackered in the last quarter  Angry

Both Chelsea and Everton have way more strength in depth than us to replace an injured player but lets be right, the FA Cup is the only trophy either of them can win so I would have expected them to play full first teams to make sure they got through.

I very much doubt we could replace FF or Bannan through a loan deal and yes they could get injured at anytime, its just a judgement that CC took to minimize that chance if he could.
