I feel the question was quite valid Worth as we were talking about bigot songs and sectarinism and who should be responsible for stopping them.......the fans, the clubs , the authorities etc. Therefore, it is nice to know as a Rangers fan what your thoughts are towards these songs so we know which side of the fence you are standing on. Then we can encourage a Rangers fan on the other side to give their views and get a balanced argument.

I'm sure we've all made some stupid remark in our life times I.E orange b'stard or Fenian b'stard I dint honestly believe that makes you a bigot maybe just a clown at that time,however it's the people who persist with it that are the true bigots they simply don't see the wrong in it.

No, a balanced argument requires no personal knowledge about me at all - the title of the thread is:
Does Scottish football really need Rangers FC in it's current toxic state?
Nothing there about having to make personal declarations. What I have or haven't done has no bearing on Rangers FC in the context of this thread.

The central question you ask above is not validated by asking questions about me:
- it's not the club's responsibility to cure society of sectarianism
- the authorities can legislate and educate and influence as they represent (theoretically) the majority of the community
then the nub of the matter
- the fans. Personal responsibility - each individual is responsible for their own actions unless acting under duress. And this is the point: society is made up of a mass of individuals and if some of them are behaving in a way that the majority finds unacceptable it's up to the majority to either accept what they do or find a solution. If the only solution is pointing a finger change is unlikely.

No I don't jim,but I have been called an orange b'stard by loads of hibs fans in my time which is hilarious as I'm no Orangeman,I just think that's a caught up in the moment thing that happens across football,it's the people who have complete blind hatred that are the true bigots the serial offenders,not all fans are like that but there are fans from all teams who have it ingrained and won't be shaken from it

I'll say one thing - Hibs have some bigoted fans and you're one of them, but that's not the club's fault.

So, some fans of a club use bigoted sectarian language towards you and it's not the fault of the club? At least we can agree there.
