Another Saturday, another defeat and yet another game where we failed to get a shot on target.

Pressure is mounting on everyone.
The chairman- lack of investment, selling our best keeper, young player of the year, player of the year all sold. Vaughan obviously being messed around, Town say he's not fit, he says he is.
Powell- haven't won a game in god knows how long. Managers at this club have gone for less than this run.
Players- out of depth, lacking confidence
Fans- on Samaritan watch

Goals win games and we've scored 3 in 6 games and no other side in the Championship have scored less.

Anyhow, we're now next to bottom of the league with 3 points from 18 and not a single win and at this abysmal rate of return, we'll end up with 23 points and certain relegation come next May.

So what's to be positive about - please tell me?

Too much going on at both home and work to make todays trip and for the first time in perhaps 25 years, will miss Charlton & Bolton due to work commitments - missing 3 in a week, will have Deano writing to me.

Agree with all WT has stated above, is CP the man to turn it around? Just so much seems not to be right at the club and Deano has to take his portion of blame and not all fall on Powells shoulders.

Cant see where the points are coming from in truth unless someone makes peace with JV even if its just till xmas cos Wells on his own without a partner of some quality is powder puff.

Full credit to the 250-300 the commentary mentioned on a few occasions and came across over the net, it was nailed on I have to admit but for starters Smith needs a period on the bench to work & earn his place back - he's been shocking all season.

Really thought Powell would be the man to make us solid, work hard and motivate the players. We're somehow even worse in defence and now can't score for toffee. I'm going to charlton on tuesday with the old man after work as it's a london game and maybe we can get something but I think we'll be lucky to get 250 playing this shite. I go into all games not expecting us to get anything now and I barely cared that we lost today, I expected it. That for me is the true sign I've lost faith. Normally I'd be miserable as xxxx when we lose, today I'm not even bothered.

I wasn't at the game but we sounded like a team that lacked any real quality and whilst not the worst team you have ever seen, just not good enough for this level. The lack of goals is worrying and Cardiff didn't sound any great shakes today, and I doubt they will make the top 6. I think their crowd of only 13,000 sums up their fans take on the way they are playing and are perhaps in a false position. So where does that leave us?!

I understand why we would set up with 1 striker away from home, but we cant be doing that right now and we need wins! I know Miller isn't great but at least get him on the pitch with Wells to give him some sort of support. Wells is still a good goal scorer who doesn't seem to get any goal scoring chances, which is not all his own fault. Strikers need service and he isn't getting any!

I suppose this is what you get when the chairman isn't prepared to back the manager in today's climate. I know the money is ridiculous in this division and I don't expect us to spend tens of millions. I do however expect the max allowed to make sure we are competitive in this division and push as far up the table as possible. If the owner is not prepared to do what it takes then he needs to go and let someone else have a go. The problem is, nobody is going to want to take over an overly negative club with little ambition. The fans have had enough, simples and there is nothing we can do about!!!

I am really regretting giving them my £350.00+ for my season card this season because we didn't do anything over the summer which made me feel that we would be better off than last season, and we were well of the pace last season. However, I am a fan that will support the team wherever there are but I wish the club would stop taking advantage of my good nature and serving up dross for me to watch most weeks! Its a good job this is only football!

But why is it that we have got to this state? We have some great attacking players. Is it down to the team formation? Is it down to the manager? Is it down to the players? Is it down to Dean Hoyle?
Fecked if I know. I turn up every week excited at the fact that I will see a great performance from my boys and apart from the Notts County game (don't do away games now) I haven't been disappointed. Yes we could do better, but in my eyes we're much better than our league position suggests.
I don't get where we are going wrong.

The three drawn matches we should've won and we should've had at least a point against QPR. With better finishing we would be on 10 points, in a play off position.

For a start Snoots, Wells isn't a 20+ goals a season striker that we need in this division. Until someone steps up and becomes one, or we find one through loans/free agents or by some miracle from the reserves/kids (not holding my breath on that) by the end of this month we will be screwed.

Next two games are crucial. Charlton and Bolton at home. Lose both and he's out the door and I think 1 out of 4 he will be likely to be gone as well I'm afraid. Two wins or one win and a draw and he'll be given a couple more games. This squad is capable of playing much better than this, but Powells remit from Hoyle was to motivate and get the best out of this group of players. Powell has not been helped by his best players being sold from under him (déjà vu much) but he seems to have failed to get the best out of them but he seems to have failed this crucial objective. Lillis appeared to be able to do that, inspire some confidence and freedom of expression and bunn blossomed under his stewardship and I don't think we've seen that form from him since. If we're going to stay up we need a manager like Lillis or Lillis himself to make the players fight for every point and have some real belief. Players cannot be kept in the team when they compound the mistakes they make week on week or have Poor form that adds nothing to the team. (Smith, whitehead et al)
