Anyone get the sense that the club may have done something wrong (I know this is ambiguous but I have no idea what, broken promises or something) so they're not being harsh in his punishment?

Gordon Taylor, the boss of the players union seems to have been acting as a peacemaker between player and club.

He states that he is confident that matters will be resolved and that Sulko will play again.

We shall just have to wait and see what happens on Monday!

Exactly what I was hoping for. The best case scenario is that he signs a contract extension on ~£50k per week, with a buyout clause of £25-30m.

That way he is happy as he is on way more money, he is motivated to play as he has to convince clubs to trigger his release clause, it benefits the club as a key player is giving his all and we won't lose him on the cheap as he is contracted for an extra couple of seasons.

Loads of coverage this morning of TP's take of the Berahino situation - "lack of father figure", "needs to show more respect", etc, and also his position regarding the Spurs bids.
Interesting reading; IMO sensible comments that give a little more hope that things can be resolved Thumb up

This has to be the most ridiculous poll I have seen in a rag for a long time, or maybe it explains certain problems we have had with players in recent years (joke).
