Aye 0762 , if I were a gers fan I'd be a little uneasy about their keeper.

Not agreeable with your own dialogue/take on the match eh - what a shame lol! It was a good game and well done but they are not excuse notes (if they were, I'd flag them up for your own interpretation) - mere observations from a Hibs fan who attended the match today, watched the Hibs team and studied the team list and formations - your goalkeeper was a continual bomb scare in Rangers defence and that's a fact and that Hibs team is a mere shadow of the Hibs side that will play Championship and other matches this season. Savour your win, the unlikely scoreline was certainly a surprise but of course you're good at this kind of undignified chat from the winner's corner but what's new and what snidy, grumpy/aged remark will you come up with next? Definitely showing a grumpy age profile!! 70 years or over I'll bet! Maybe it's time take up a more relaxing game like tiddlywinks and you'll have no reason to slag people off any more or utter the usual, predictable snide remarks that you seem obsessed with!!!!!

74 - don't be so ageist. It's as bad as racism, sexism, sectarianism or homophobia.

"Not our best team. Shadow side. Wait 'til next week. Unlikely scoreline. Blah, blah, blah."

All pish.

Your manager played his best available side and they came up short - well short in the end It's a squad game.

You should visit the Rangers comp thread...I mentioned the abysmal kicking from our keeper fairly early in the game. He's decent in the air, looks a bag of nerves when the ball is played across him onto his left foot. Can't all be Waterreus.

Both keepers had bad games - according to the stats every attempt on target went in. So not a genuine save made.

Nobody's hiding Worthinger for me hibs where the better team for the first 30plus mins and deserved to score maybe should have had more. The game changed when rangers scored just before half time and scoring early in 2nd half the game was past hibs and rangers deserved the win.

I don't understand the whole scenario with Allan though why he was on the bench if he's not in Stubbs plans to start over the mess between  the 2 clubs this week why not just put him in the stand and not play him.

I thought the young lad Martin played well for us some nice touches and chased well.

TBO not bothered about this tournament the league is what we both want at the end of the day

Beware of that dangling hook from an obsessed armchair fan called WorthingGeriatric hfcbounce lol!!!!! If I could only acquire the man's address, I'd send copies of his regular and repetitive infantile remarks/posts to as many members of his family as poss and particularly the female members. I'm sure their embarrassed and consequential response would be to tell him TO GET A LIFE and they'd instantly buy him some happy pills, issue him with a deserved, severe rebuke and a sine die ban (one computer duly binned!) ha ha ha ha!! Laugh
Re today's match, IMO young Scott Martin was given a run because it was a Petrofac cup-tie and it was good experience for him. I thought he was OK, hard-working but nothing special. Stanton's goal was a stunner but IMO he won't be a regular first team player - not a true Stanton, not good enough (could have scored a hat trick today but didn't!) and Stubbs gave him the chance to fight for a 1st team place after previously offering to loan him out to Dundee. Nuff already said about Oxley - bring on Reguero eh! Fraser Fyvie was played out of position, same goes for Paul Hanlon, who was played in front of Fontaine and Forster and critical questions are already being raised by many Hibs fans re Hanlon's defensive status in Hibs 1st team - how many seasons do we have to endure Hanlon's limitations as a Hibs defender? Also I'd luv to ask Stubbs, "What's going on with all these missing Hibs players"? These guys are not all injured and I'm assuming there is a match fitness issue but why are so many players side lined before the season has begun????? There have been weeks and weeks of prep leading up to the 1st Championship match and there is more than half a team of players missing?? Why? Is it Hibs training regime? Also was the La Manga training excursion justified???? The fitness level of some Hibs players, at the tail end of this match, were noticeably low - early days all the same but still a questionable issue! Re the Scott Allan fiasco, I must say I observed some positive evidence from the West Stand when Scott was involved in two 50-50 tackles with Gers players in the 2nd half - he certainly didn't look like a player who is leaving Hibs - no holding back and the second block tackle on Halliday was 100% committed - the gritty look on his face said it all for me!! However, I don't believe Scott would've come on the pitch if Forster had not been injured and our best player only played in a small part of this match anyway - so what's going on upstairs in Hibs board room? A bit more assurance has come from Alan Stubbs in today's post-match interview - a categorical, no holds barred SCOTT ALLAN IS NOT FOR SALE - Warburton told in no uncertain terms after this match. Also other players coming in - Dylan McGeouch in the mix by any chance? IMO this whole, sordid and deliberately disruptive affair will prove to be an acid test for Hibs CEO, Leeann Dempster and Alan Stubbs. Hibs have been selling season tickets for months with Scott Allan being one of the main players who have been promoting the whole marketing process. I couldn't see Dempster convincing many of Hibs ST holders and shareholders that Scott's sale would be justified esp after her past 12 months of positive assurances to Hibs fans' groups at meetings, consultations etc. There are still questions to be answered next week and the season has not even started yet but it's definitely time to quickly settle down and get on with playing a lot better than we did today!!
