Shrewsbury v The Bottlers L1 Match Thread

"Dust ourselves down" another corker.

"We're still trying for automatic promotion, people can assume what's going to happen tomorrow, but nobody knows"

We've known for weeks what's going to happen. We seem to be able to see that which Darren can't.
He's a clueless, one dimensional Muppet with no passion. Incapable of making necessary in-game changes in real time. Predictable in almost every game and approach to it.

Regardless of what the buffoon thinks. Autos are gone for good tomorrow. You can't take 12pts from the last possible 27pts.
You can't lose to rivals Barnsley, then Forest Green and Burton Albion. Drawing with Cheltenham.

This dope, honestly..
It's aggravating that DC had no contingencies in place after all the failure and bottling he's seen at the Club since he took over. He's learned absolutely nothing about Football or how it works.
You'd really have thought that after that bottle against Hull in the final that blew an opportunity of hundreds of millions, DC would be once bitten twice shy about the thought of bottling another promotion playoffs. But no, he's doubling down and going to stand behind Moore as he blows back up back promotion opportunities after relegation lmao
This Club deserves every joke the Dingles, Pigs and Toytown scrubbers make. It's the fans that don't.

Yep, the 'in game' stuff is the worst Doh First sub at 60 minutes etc Doh

Even when I played County league the manager would change things during a game like telling the wingers to swap sides or pushing the full backs wider or further forward, telling one of the strikers to drop off, double up on a weak point or summat. Anything to change the flow, gain an advantage or admit that the initial game plan's not working Cool but what does DM ever do Huh make a sub after 60 minutes and stick to the sideways and backwards theory Laugh

Exactly, he's trapped in his single dimension and simply cannot see anything outside of it.

He's conned himself into believing his system is sound because of the unbeaten run.
The truth was more that we rode our luck on numerous occasions, luckily winning from what would usually be a draw and drawing from what would usually be a loss.
It's papered over the cracks and portrays a false image of this teams capabilities, especially under this management.
I can't imagine how many goals Iorfa is responsible for gifting, but he'll be starting again tomorrow, continually setting a substandard for everyone. An academy kid should be starting ahead of him as an example. Sadly, we don't set those because Darren likes to be their friend more than their Gaffer.

The injuries have been terribly unlucky, that's not DMs fault. What is his fault is how threadbare the squad is with no depth in quality. He insisted on and backed these players without further addition.

Byers, Famewo and Wilks are done for the season.
Windarse is running through the holy cones so will be ready for Derby I'd imagine.

Blackpool relegated to League 1, so a trip to the seaside next season.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

There's going to be another drivel speech post-match finally accepting the Playoff position anyway, Imre.
"Dust ourselves down for the Playoffs and we go again. We need all the fans behind us"

Why has he not been sacked for delivering failure two consecutive seasons? Who else is this stupid?

And that's ignoring his inability to keep us in the Championship to begin with.. despite the -12pt deduction we still had it in our hands on the final day.
Sick to death hearing about what a lovely bloke he is. We're not supposed to be going for drinks with the man FFS. He's getting paid for mediocrity.

We should have an idea how the playoffs will shape up after today, I suppose that's the positive.
Can we plan for it though? Laugh

Same old 352 Iorfa can't be dropped no matter what.

Strangely enough, at this point it's actually possible for Wednesday to be in the Final even if they lose the next three in a row as long as they win the fourth by the necessary goal margin.

I wouldn't even put faith in that.
