LAST MATCH

It was back to back wins for us, but after the results on Tuesday night, and although still in with a chance mathematically its going to be the playoffs for us. We were poor in he first half and never looked like scoring tbh and it was no surprise to go in at 0-0. Early in the second half Exeter's 2nd string took the lead, Key heading in from close range. It took us 10 minutes to equalize, Gregory heading in Bannan's cross. Exeter had a couple of chances to take the lead but couldn't take them. We got the winner when Pato turned in Johnson's shot. We could have had a third in injury time but couldn't force the ball in.

THE MATCH

Next up and our final away fixture of the season and a trip to one of our bogey teams, Shrewsbury. We have only won once in eleven visits to Shrewsbury and that was 41 years ago. The Shrews are safe this season currently in 13th place in the league but have lost 6 of the last 7 games, a perfect time to play us then Doh

There leading scorer is Luke Leahy, whos has 11 goals and 4 assists. They are managed by Steve Cotterill, who has been in charge since 2020.

I was desperately hoping the chairman would have shown some backbone this morning and executed a plan he should've started after the Barnsley loss.. ( Further lack of ambition or foresight to not have a backup plan in something where failure results in the loss of millions and affects the general stability of the Club)
There's no way of saving this season or changing the inevitable loss in the playoffs unless Moore leaves, and there's no way of building a positive or ambitious Club structure unless DC leaves..

We've now come full circle, and it's acceptable for some reason Laugh

These hangers on, honestly.
No wonder DC got the club dubbed as a 'retirement home' for these footballers and manager's. It's free money for mediocrity and the bar is lowered, never raised.
Fk them all I'm so fed up of this Club

Time to get some younger, hungrier players in for next season. Worked in 2005 when we had he likes of Whelan & Brunt in the team and they didn't choke in the playoffs.

There's still fans that actually think we can still achieve Automatic promotion lol

Ipswich can draw their final two games and still be promoted on GD ahead of us, should we beat Shrewsbury and Derby.
Plymouth won't lose two in a row. You'd be silly to put money on it other than a quid for a laugh.

Far too many fans finding this bottle job acceptable, which I find disturbing.

Has anyone had chance to listen to or watch Moore's pre match presser?

That's a lost man knowing he's on his way out. Devoid of passion or fight, nothing in that tone of voice whatsoever.
He's just jabbering away, saying absolutely nothing of any relevance.
Says our goal is still within parameters.
Is that a cowardly admission that the only way left to achieve promotion is the playoffs? Of which he's about to bottle with his absolute cluelessness.

I genuinely believe that if DC had been proactive and planned for Moore's inevitable bottle.
Someone else would've been highlighted for replacement after the Barnsley thrashing and most definitely after the humiliating loss to Forest Green, then we'd have a good shot at the Playoffs.

Again, the decision making has been left far too late and sacking Moore once the Playoffs are over is an admission that we're simply not ambitious enough to do what is necessary to pull this Club up out of the crap. Bottling at a higher level basically.

DM has been making his excuses for weeks. Long before the collapse he was always harping on about how 4 teams could get 90+ points. That to me seemed as if he was accepting we wouldn't be capable of the auto's and probably filtered down to the players and knocked their confidence too. 90 might not be enough, blah, blah, blah, we go again etc #w@nker
