Yup, I'd made a previous comment about the clash with that game as we are now "on the Red Button" on Saturday.

Think I've now found the article on The Unexamined website but the bit about a 4pm kick off has been edited out. They've left all the other stuff about letting clubs switch to a 12:30 kick off so folk can watch the England game. Hell, a 12:30 game will finish around 2:30, how long do you need to find a tellybox for the England game?

So from fozzys pre match presser, some are returning, in January we'll see Russell leave and then probably run the show against us for wba, although if you've seen the 'highlights' from his performance against sheff wed for the b team, it's amazing none of his own team mates crocked him. Someone like Roy Keane would.

Sounds like fotheringham is accepting Rhodes will leave because he's trying hard but we're not getting what we need from him ie goals. Well here's a little tactical titbit for the Gordon Strachan wannabe, to get goals you need to create chances, to create chances you need to attack, without doing that, Harry kane, earling haaland, kylian mbappe and Lionel Messi would look as useful as a chocolate frying pan. Rhodes isn't scoring because he's a 1 in 4 chance striker and we don't create 1 chance for him sometime. Is he going to say the same about ward? Because he's been gash this season, out of contact at the end, one of the bigger earners and is a 1 in 6/7 striker, he's also offered next to nothing in games too.

Seems like we're pinning hopes on a young lad who looks a unit but is only just coming back from injury in Simpson, a young striker who runs a lot with not much at the end in harratt from Jan onwards. Then maybe Phillips if we recall him who looks sharp but isn't a championship striker at all yet.

Oh and to just help our striking options were signing kamberi who scored once for Wednesday in lg1 and has had one maybe two decent scoring seasons in Scotland and then subsequently struggled to score for rangers, so it doesn't fill me with hope that he'll bang them in during a relegation battle where he'll get one chance a game at best.

I don't like how the club is being run, dean Hoyle screwed us, came back, promised a good coach a lot of things, sold our best players on the cheap, signed crap and screwed us again, he's now left us with no money and in a relegation battle, no money, which is odd,uch like when we first came back to the champ and lost the billings millions down the back of the sofa and the prem TV money under someones mattress.

The sooner we get the takeover done and can have someone who may possibly supply some sort of funds the better.

Don't start me on bromby

Also not a fan of fotheringham, a gobsh8, yes he's got nothing to work with, but he doesn't help himself, he talks like he had a stellar career, he didn't, he talks like he's had an amazing coaching education before this, he hasn't. The way he talks about some players doesn't build me with confidence in him. Part of me thinks he'll be gone before the end of the season. He's putting too many players under the bus, Rhodes, Russell etc but he bigs up the likes of Holmes and ward who have been trash.

For me he shouldn't have even got the job at that time, nor should Schofield before him, better options out there at both times, still is. It's a shame narcis doesn't want it.

Hopefully Brum go into admin due to the failed takeover, we need all the help we can get.

Coventry City have also given an eviction order by Trashley Ashley this week. Current owners SISU forgot to sign the "new lease" with Trashley after he bought the stadium following Wasps RU highly predictable demise. SISU are in the middle of negotiations to sell 95% of Coventry City shares to a local businessman. Their eyes were never "on the ball" from day one it's so no wonder they missed the bleeding obvious slim file of paperwork right under their bleeding noses that they'd agreed with Trashley at the time he was negotiating his purchase. There is an new offer on the table for Coventry, but it is "detrimental to the clubs finances". Well, no shit Sherlock. That was in the failure to agree/sign on time clauses you dickheads.

Agree about Fotheringham - he has an overblown idea of his capabilities and keeping Hoggy and Jones away from the squad due to what may well have been a "linked incident". I've no evidence, but the coincidence of the time they both stopped "being available" due to injuries that normally clear up in a few weeks not several months is not helping the team get out of the bottom three. I would say we aren't playing as bad as the squad that threw the towel in after about 2 months into the 2nd season in the Prem, but we are scoring at about the same frequency. Being a "last day of the season survival hero" with a squad that is capable of at least 12th -16th isn't going to cut it with me either. I'm not convinced yet the squad believe in him either.

I could start you on Bromby, but for now I'll leave that one be, January isn't that far away and one of his underlings might find a gem on their "Opta/FIFA22/FB Manager/Playstation/World Cup stats on players that didn't get a kick in Qatar" over Xmas - or Sorba the Taff might have put in a good word in between the camel rides and lying on a sunbed. Then again, if his ambition is now apparently signing for Cardiff ..... ?!?!?!?!

what have you heard about jones? I'm under the understanding that he is genuinely suffering with an injury that reoccurred during his rehab

Damn, I deleted the wrong tab.

I've nothing specific about Jones and you may be correct, but did The General really only go into battle with Fotheringham about only needing a new pair of socks to replace the one's that were ripped when he was "injured" if you get the drift? "Disciplinary issues" are easily covered up as "injuries" in football to throw the press off the scent, when other than personal observation, it is the only way we find out anything. I don't believe in coincidences but the length of their "abscence" is way beyond the typical length of that type of injury. Fotheringham is not convincing when he answers questions about why certain players aren't training or are still "injured", hence the speculation on my part.

I'm not convinced the players have fully bought into him yet either. He's happy to throw Rhodes and Russell off and under the bus in his presser this week and he's not exactly screaming from the roof tops that we should keep Camara at all costs if we are serious about staying up either. If he thinks he'll get any of that transfer fee if it materialises to reinvest in the squad he really is naïve. He's apparently happy to sign a bloke that scores far less frequently than Rhodes though, whilst saying we aren't getting enough out of Rhodes. Well no shit Sherlock there either. Nobody has since he left Blackburn after us, and I argued at the time we didn't need him.

I won't start you about Bromby, but if Harsley, who was brought in as Assistant Coach to great aplomb from Brum in the summer, was such a great appointment (as trumpeted at the time) why has he now gone and why is Fotheringham's new best mate, Kenny Miller, appointed as his assistant and no hard questions really asked in the presser?

Fothers and Heckythump's (was tempted by Byheck) cobblers added to article.

Have these two got the longest names in the championship?

Maybe, but ours talks more bollocks than theirs from what I heard. Then again, you can maybe get away with it when you're in the top two a bit more than when you're in the bottom three.

From what I hear the club is still for sale, Baldwin is still running the club but the ball is back in PH court. Maybe you can confirm that is what is reported back home
