Don't get those subs!!! Baker seemed to be doing ok, and Mattock needed support rather than replacing!!

We aren't on the edge of the playoffs at all though SCO, the team is miles away and so is SG ... I'd rather miss the playoffs since the takeover and go for automatic promotion next season with better players and a more tactically aware manager, if we went into the playoffs this season we would be embarrassed , and if we went up via that route then SG would stay ..and we would be worse than Leicester ..no thanks , even with my impatience I will wait for another season ..

Got to say your patience is surprising me!!! Laugh

Thing is, Leicester's little stay in the PL will net them over 120m, 60m this season at least and then 60m of parachute payments!!! That is all income and means even with wealthy owners, we will not be able to compete with them on transfers and wages, especially under FFP rules!! I would like to really go for it, bring in 3-4 more better players if we have to, and then you never know!!

And, yes I know we are not close enough to the playoffs now, but we were two weeks ago and if we were to win three or four on the bounce we would be right back up there again. Lets spend a bit of money on wages, bring in loan players and have a go. If it doesn't work then the loan players go back and we start like you said building in the close season!!
