The ball definitely hit his hand, but it was ball to hand rather than hand to ball!! Also, now you see refs give pens for HB when the hand/arm is not in its natural position, in this case its by his side being used normally for balance, not sure he could have got it out of the way if he had tried!! Tough call these days!!
