Now we are linked, no surprise, with McInnes - what a bloody shambles and all of it lay at the feet of the owner Lai who does not want us but can't help making the value of the club plummet even more.

I can't understand why David Wagner was considered with a managerial win % of just 33.5 whereas Mike Appleton has 39.8%, Chris Wilder has 43.7% and Derek McInnis with a very acceptable 46.9%

The real reason we haven’t got Wilder Sheffield Utd.

CW was a done deal but Lai intervened due to the Sheff U owners (who are major investors/ business partners in his empire) threatened to pull out of these investments. Dowling has tried to negotiate with SU but no joy

Howe and Lampard are waiting on PL offers. Roy wants a break.

Neil has not been considered due to 2019 and Appy compo is around £1 million. Cooper from Swansea also expensive.

Wilder is still v keen and has been in regular touch with Dowling to see if the position changes. I hope it does

I agree Denbag I am annoyed that Lai is interfering in something he has no interest in, just because he is scared a potential manager might have criticised him. Perhaps we should all start criticising Lai on social media and see if we can get him to sell.

If you check the above post he has no choice but to intervene, if he hadn’t he would lose a major investor due to his connections with Sheffield Utd.

Maybe we ought to without complications be looking at Managers who got promotion in league 1 - 2 - and the National leagues, who must be good, and get rid of Lai as I've previously said.

Whatever happened to the guys who wanted to buy in and take over?

Well firstly "the post above" was not written when I first posted, but that aside, of course he had a choice and he 'allegedly' chose his other business interests.

However, does it really sound believable to you. Prince whatever his name is, contacts Lai and says this guy called me names, so if you employ him I will pull out of our other business deals which must be worth hundreds of millions . So Lai says alright I will veto his appointment, which he does and then tells the world what the Prince said, something which sounds worse for the Prince as a businessman than anything Wilder could ever do. We are talking massive multi national business's here not the corner shop, who in the future is going to do business with someone so unstable as they would pull out of deals because someone called them names?? Does not sound right to me.

I totally agree Salop but these business men can be funny buggers and they are adamant this is what’s happening the Saudi prince has taken the huff with Wilder even doing over an hour podcast on his time at Sheffield Utd.
