Did you see the Real Madrid president saying they were doing this to save football.. what a whopper!

Anyway the remaining 14 clubs are meeting today to discuss this whole shit show.

Lets hope they show some backbone and boot them out straight away.

Ban them from the PL with immediate affect, null and void all the results and adjust the League Table.
Then come the end of the season award 1st-4th with Champions League spots
Europa League to the rest.

Kick them out of the League and FA cup finals.

Boot the U23s out of that daft Lower League cup comp

One thing I would say though is that Skys TV money has turned clubs like bournemouth and Fulham into bigger clubs than those that actually have a proper fanbase. Sky and UEFA haven't helped 'competition' much either have they?. Ajax were champions league semi finalists then had to play a qualifier next year because their league hasn't got a 1bn of oil money in it. Neville is pushing the 'competition' angle a bit much. It's not fair as it stands either.

I find Skys outrage a bit much to be honest. These clubs have been indulged and accommodated for so long now (and a blind eye turned to FFP) its no wonder they think they can do this.

Sky are crying about it because obviously they're not in on the deal. They will be missing out to somebody like Amazon Prime or Disney or one of the others that keep springing up.
They were behind the breakaway to form the Premier League and now their time is coming to an end. When we got Sky, after many years of resisting, they had loads of top sports on. Now they're scraping the barrel with the BBC and all they'll be left with is netball and indoor wall climbing.

In the case of Bournemouth, a rich Russian owner with roubles to burn and Sky money after his money got them there eventually, but point taken.

Makes me laugh this big 6 clubs rubbish. That is who the big 6 are right now.
However back when Keegan was in charge - Newcastle would have been considered a big 6.
20 years ago Man City were in Div 3.
Back in the 70's L666s would have been considered a big 6. In the 70's Man Utd were relegated to Div 2.
The 80's Notts Forest would have been a big 6 after winning two European cups.
Blackburn in the 90's after winning the league would have.......nah not really....

Exactly.

I'll never give vermin like Murdoch one thin dime of my cash, but watching all his wee lackeys on SKY sports greatin like babies about competition is xxxx laughable. You know it's hard to disagree with what neville and carragher are saying on the surface but it's born from fear of the gravy train drying up.

As I said on the WBA forum, as soon as the top 5 leagues and SKY decided they were more important than everyone else and got their 4th placed teams - yes 4th - CL spots this was inevitable. Especially when you factor in all the rather dubious foreign owners who are picking up all your clubs.

Sky created this monster and I've been saying for years that it would implode. Sky don't have any right to be indignant now. I feel sorry for the fans who just want to watch their club... not the fans who came out of the woodwork when the money came in or those that only follow the most successful club.
