His biggest problem is that he is being compared to the best keeper ever seen at the Hawthorns. I know a bit about keepers played the position for 40 years to a decent standard . By the way Johnstone was very good on Saturday.
I might take issue with that/
IMHO best goalkeeper since I have been supporting was Tony Godden.

It appears that some supporters will blame Johnstone for every goal we concede. Last night he did nothing wrong and made a couple of excellent saves, particularly one at the near post in the first half. I'm sure if we conceded from a penalty, some people would still blame him. I hope he has a thick skin.

Johnstone is a fine keeper and will improve, Godden was a great shot stopper but could command his box Osborne was eccentric but great to watch as he he had a drag on fans fags behind the goal. But Foster 2 big injuries and still comes back to be a great keeper for me and in my opinion only, he was a wonderful Keeper for the Baggies. I just wish he had not left the way he did.

Sam Johnstone did have a good game on Saturday and the penalty save was top drawer.
It makes you wonder if getting criticism on Twitter (and maybe here) has had a positive effect on his game.
Although good against Derby, I’d still like to see more consistency in his game and not be as a response to his critics.

Ok I will say his pass out to the wing was brilliant in the build up to Livermore’s goal but he dropped the ball from the header that gifted them their second goal.
Needs replacing but just my opinion
