But the same stereotype Whelan trotted out - that of the avaricious Jew - was one of many used to justify the Holocaust. That's a historical fact; I'm afraid that how you feel about it doesn't make any it less true.
Right, I'm just going to summarise my position here, because it's possible that I'm being misunderstood or misinterpreted. My contention has not altered in the slightest in the last forty-eight hours:
1. The stereotype that Dave Whelan propagated through his remark is grossly untrue.
2. This stereotype has existed for centuries, and has been common in anti-Semitic propaganda sheets in many countries during that time, including those distributed by the Third Reich in German schools in the 1930s and 1940s.
3. It's routinely been used to dehumanise and demonise Jewish people, and to justify violence against them; unfortunately, the Holocaust is the most extreme example of this violence.
4. I don't know whether Dave Whelan is aware of these facts or not - I'd honestly like to think that he's not, and he's made a terrible mistake simply through ignorance of the truth - but as a man in a position of power, spreading lies which have created so much harm throughout history, I feel I have to speak out in opposition to him. I have to tell the truth.

Not sure what he said, but I do know the PC boys and Gals do take their crap way too far. In saying that I wont stand for bigotry or racism but you do have to be very careful what you deem as the 2 above. Some of the things said or done now that get classed as racist for instance is so stupid that it obscures the important stuff, and thats why I get annoyed with the likes of the black and white minstral show and the gollywog on a jar being racist as bollocks.

Anyone notice that between us 13th, and next to bottom in the league, its only ONE WIN (3pts), so maybe it might be only goal difference that will finally see who goes down, so it'll be important to keep down goals against us, so I was pleased it was only 2-0 against Chelsea cos it looked as it would be more at one stage.
