Agreed. It's doomed to failure so often. Keep your legends on a pedestal where they belong.

What amuses me is when the sacking club ‘thanks’ the sacked manager for what he has done for the club in his tenure.
What Pulis has done is to take us to possible relegation; made us the most unloved and boring club in the country; antagonised the faithful Baggie supporters and ruined the natural skills of his playing staff. That’s what we ‘thank’ Pulis for.

68% of Sky Sports viewers, in a poll, said you're wrong to sack Pulis. Craig Bellamy says it's a crazy decision.
Like when we sacked Lee Clark, the outside world have no idea what's going on and should keep their noses out.
Oh, that's me then...... Big Grin Rolleyes Tongue

Looking back at things, it seems quite the coincidence that our poor run of form and then increasingly negative team selections started around the time Pulis lost his court case.

Call me a conspiracy theorist here if you like, but something makes me think he wanted the sack. Freshly signed lucrative 2 year contract at the start of the season that he knew he'd get a big payout on, then free to get another job soon after.

It's always the same when an English manager loses his job. The idiot media, clueless pundits and ignorant football fans (fortunately no one on this site) always have to comment on the matter without doing the research which only takes 10 minutes. If Tony Pulis was an Italian called Antonio Pulisino, there would be minimal comment about it.

The same happened when we sacked Steve Clarke four years ago. Due to him being British and one of the UK's top coaches at the time, it was a travesty to everyone not connected to WBA. However, if he was called Stive van Clarken and was Dutch, there again would have been nothing made about it.

If Huddersfield ever sack David Wagner, the media, pundits and football fans not affiliated to the club will not bat an eye about it. They will probably laugh because a German American has been sacked and most of the attention will be spent bigging up media darlings such as Tony Pulis and Sam Allardyce for the job.

My thoughts exactly as previously mentioned by me. However I can remember also saying on the last quarter of last season he has gone off the rails and should go. I respect what he did, but as mentioned by many of us he didn't have a 5th gear, nor did he have any attacking flair which we all wanted.

Allardyce may be fine for short time, McIInis has no premier experience, and i don't know if they can afford Koeman, so its going to be a difficult choice, and might kick us in the teeth for what we wish for.

Still Tony has gone now, and its going to be hard for him to get another prem job, so good luck to him.

I can't think that finance would be a problem. Much as I hate what they earn these days, another million or 2 is not going to hurt in the great scale of things - it's only the same as we're paying Liversalts, and if it came to the crunch I'd let some Championship come in for him so we could save his salary to pay for a good HC.
