Tony Pulis sacked - Worldclassalbion - 20-11-2017

Pulis sacked.

RE: He’s Gone - Zinman - 20-11-2017

You shouldn’t really celebrate someone losing his job but just this once.......yesssssssss!
Will be buying my tickets for Newcastle and Palace when I get home tonight.

RE: He’s Gone - Worldclassalbion - 20-11-2017

Megson in interim charge until new manager found. I don’t expect much of an improvement but at least the Club saw common sense and have gotten rid of this stubborn anti footballing man.

RE: He’s Gone - Kennyg - 20-11-2017

My thoughts exactly WorldclassAlbion! Megson is even more defence minded than Putrid. Anyone else noticed that our demise this season coincided with Megson's appointment as assistant manager? Hope Koeman is appointed quickly!

Thank you for all your hard work during your time at the club Tony and good luck with your future.

This is the first real test that our management have had to deal with since taking over. Let's hope they don't xxxx it up.

RE: He’s Gone - Kookiebags - 20-11-2017

Morning All,
While I am pleased to see the board has finally accepted that the results were atrocious, I think we should remember Tony as a good coach overall who is great up to a point, then he cannot get past this.
He could have played more expansive football, but was afraid of losing his record of not being relegated, so stuck to the tried and tested.
I wish him well in his next job, because the guy will always find work, because he is good at what he does.
He would not walk away, as this would have been a sign of weakness to others, but he knew his time was up.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, see who next coach will be, give him a bit of cash in January for a couple of midfielders who can attack as well as defend, maybe another striker, and all will be well in Hawthorns land.
Cheers, Kookiebags.

Glad we played you when we did. Big Grin Tongue Whistle

RE: He’s Gone - 4evaabaggie - 20-11-2017

Thank you and goodbye Tony, I do not call for managers to be sacked but even I was getting close to it. You worked ard for Albion, you did a great job up to your limits but now we need to move on. Good luck with your next fire fighting job..
Your a decent bloke but you won't be missed ( well your brand of football anyway )......

RE: He’s Gone - Kennyg - 20-11-2017

I would also like to thank Mr Pulis for stabilising our club. It was what was needed at the time. Over the past few months his defensive policy in games failed to work and he lost the fans. I wish Tony good luck in his next job. I hope the board will appoint a manager who knows how to attack as well as defend. We fans have had enough of negative, defensive football now and require a shot of exciting football with results to match!

RE: He’s Gone - Stairs - 20-11-2017

Just as Megson was great for our club back in those Dark Days , so was Tony Pulis for the last few seasons.

But everyone has to recognise when its time to move on and his failure to make a difference after this summers transfer dealings was proof enough that he had run out of ideas.

Thank you very much Tony Pulis - the King is Dead, long live the King (who ever that might be - but please don't leave SGM in charge for too long).
