Oh Blue you really do get your knickers in a twist don't you.
My comment re Lester was that I would rather remember him as the great player he was for us and not as the manager that took us out of the football league. No I'm not related but I'm not as blinkered as you are when it comes to the people running our club. I hope he does well for all our sakes after the bloody shambles your mates "Calders" and "Branners" have left us in. Its going to take nothing short of a miracle to keep us up with the shower of crap they brought in and left us with. I want to go to a game and watch my team put some effort in and hopefully win not the shambles we have been witnessing the last 8 months. Its a master stroke by Allen and Carson, bring the stay away fans back in and nobody will dare complain because its our Jack even if we do go down = genius.

Dancing ,I am always willing to give people a chance to prove themselves and I gave Wilson and Caldwell plenty of time and they failed its as simple as that .
I know that Carson has made mistakes but so do nearly every club when it comes to employing managers otherwise the average lifespan of a manager would be longer than 18 months and I don't know what Allen's end game is ,it puzzles me .But I do know that they cannot do right from wrong now, you have to agree with that .Lester was the most popular choice with the fans and clearly has good credentials to be a top coach but every appointment is a gamble you have to agree with that surely. By the way your informant who told you it wasn't Lester needs to be sacked and you should listen to me in future .

He was correct Blue, he said Lester didn't apply. It seems he was approached.

Well it is REALLY Jack. I've never heard of his oppo', but if he's Jack's choice that'll do for me. (Just looked him up, think I had heard of him but those brain cells have dementia.)
Of our last three efforts at management ...... Saunders got some backing, created what was nearly a team but looked to be in a terminal tailspin when he was sacked; Danny, who I thought was a decent choice, without much finance saved us, but made mistakes from which he might have saved us again had he be given the chance, but he certainly hadn't really moved us forward at all; then poor old GC wanted to build something but the only tool he had seemed to be a wrecking ball. All of them had to operate against a background of a club tearing itself apart. I hope Jack's enthusiasm, intelligence and vision can effect change. I hope Mr Carson's? activities haven't got us a points deduction lurking in the background. I hope we can be saved. I still suspect we can't, but squabbling amongst ourselves won't really help. We are where we are.

My hopes and suspicions are the same as yours Dev. I just hope he can do something about it and knows what he has let himself in for.
New ceo in next week, now that will be interesting.

The club seem quite smug about the new CEO which could mean he/she is so sharp and terminally bent we'll never be caught doing anything wrong again, OR it could be someone totally irreproachable, a modern-day saint.
I would so love us to win on Saturday not just for the fans and the club, but for Jack Lester himself. He could have turned us down, we weren't an attractive proposition. Okay so he's loved here, but no one could have tried harder for the club on the field than Danny Wilson and look what we did to him. He'd walk into our best-ever eleven! I really hope we treat Jack properly. And if we do hit the Vanarama the fans who are applauding him now will be saying, "Please stay Jack and let's go back up together!"

What you on about Devon? He's signed a 3 year deal and has a long-term vision. Also in an interview Carson has said we need to stay in this league or it could be over. This is the biggest moment in the history of Chesterfield FC but also the most exciting because Jack's back and I really want him to do well. Everything he has said in his interview his optimistic and sounds great.
