Reporter on Sky said Rhodes was defended well by there centre back Mulgrew although we only had 9 chances in the game.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

Thing is that is what we should have expected, difference is when he does get a chance he will put more away than our other strikers. For me the formation is ok, I like Forestieri playing on the left and still having two strikers alongside or ahead of him, that will give him space as the defenders will have to watch the strikers. Reach is the best option behind him as he has some pace that can be exploited if FF cuts inside. Might leave us a bit bare at the back but with Hutch in there he is like a 5th defender anyway. Until Lee is back I can't see the team changing much, although I would still like to see McManaman play more if just for his pace.

Wasn't a dig at Rhodes Chaz, it was a dig at the fact we pay 10M for a player and can't be bothered to play to his strengths ![]()

No I know it wasn't a dig at Rhodes, sorry didn't mean to suggest it was!! I have always thought Rhodes though was one of those strikers that doesn't do much other than score and I would bet throughout his career he has played alongside another striker who does the leg work and he is simply a poacher. I don't think we can play him up front on his own and I would prefer to see FF out left and cutting in rather than using him as an out and out striker. Rhodes could be partnered by any of Fletcher, Winnall or Hooper, but if FF isn't in the team we will struggle to create much so he has to be the third striker in a 433 or in the 5 of a 352.

Unfortunately or fortunately I missed the delights of WW since I was out fishing in the Pacific. Only one reasonable sized yellowfin tuna
![]() Sounds like another ground out win but only to be expected against Blackburn - but it's another win and 3 points. Repeat until the end of the season. Really enjoying the Mexican February weather ![]() Free wifi permitting hope to get predictions in for the weekend and listen to the game. B ![]() |
