Re those pre and post-match comments by Hecky - cheeky bastard, treating our club and our fans like we are idiots!!!

The tactics, piss poor - we had no midfield, we didn't have one that can compete - Vela, then Mallan in front of him, then Allan in front of him then Horgan crying out for the ball and Newell "hiding", doing as little as he can get away with!! It was so clear, even Hecky noticed and "hooked him" at half time. We started the second half with 11 men for the first time in the game, but even then Fraser Murray was asked to play wide left?????? It wasn't long until we were back down to 10 and the roof fell in and of course no action by Hecky at HT to sub Mackie on a risky yellow card. I know it is an extreme move but I'd sack this management team 1st thing tomorrow morning!! IMO they have undone the good work by previous managers like Stubbsy and Lenny who instilled a passion, style, organisation and commitment with their style of management and had a certain "synergy" with Hibs support!! That is gone inside such a short period and some piss poor signings that are not Hibs standard!!! What is wee Strachan doing at the mo???? Also noticeable a deathly silence from Leeann Dempster and Gordon after all the positivity just a few weeks ago!!! No more signings to be done; therefore we are short of the requisite players to attain a good season!!
Lastly, a special mention to Rocky who was outstanding today and IMO stopped an absolute rout with some magnificent saves but sadly blemished by a poor position in conceding Rangers' 1st goal! Still a top goalie, one of the best in the Scot Premiership!!

I'm not calling for his head and he did well to steady the ship last season, but we can't afford too many showings like that. Also of concern is how few of his signings actually seem to be good enough to start games for us.

17 mins in and he couldn't see the shape was wrong ? Bringing on kamberi for Allan with 10 men on the park later was the craziest thing I've seen. I mean Lennon made mistakes tactically but I never felt he didn't set the team up properly or didn't care about the game. Hecky comes across as negative and uninspiring.....give yourself a shake man!!

The players were hung out to dry, be very interesting to see their reaction in the coming weeks.

Hecky fortunately had a "Lennon side" last season and took advantage of that fact with the decent players he had available. It's no coincidence that Hibs have suddenly lost to such a terrible score line and Lenny now gone from ER - he would never have lost that game in such a negative manner!! Also I'm noting the previous critical comments re Hecky and his poor record at Elland Road from many Leeds fans!! Some of their comments tie in with his unimpressive remarks and his poor tactics!! I've had a good sleep after that disgraceful event and now see it that this management team are on their "last orders"!! IMO Hibs must bring back Gray, ditch Hanlon who has been a nightmare, introduce Middleton on Hibs left flank and stick to Horgan on the right flank. As for Hibs midfield permutation? I'm stumped re the best balance!! Scotty Allan is a "must", IMO Vela is "mince" and got "found out" at Ibronx!! Mallan is very good in certain matches but not all of them. Newell is a total "waste of space". Imagine that we lost out on Omeonga and ended up with that sub-standard pish!! We need a "metronome" mid player just keeping the Hibs movement "ticking over" and we also need that "physical presence" that big Marv provided for years!! My view, for what it is worth, is that Hecky and his assistant are "living on borrowed time" and will definitely be gone. I hope I'm wrong but I know my footie - played it at a good level for a very long time and watched Hibs since the early 60s!!

Heckingbottom did indeed steady the ship last season (unbeaten in over 2 months) but only got 2 points in the last 5 games. In my opinion he should be given the benefit of the doubt just now and hope that Sunday was a one-off. Confidence (or lack of it) was a big problem during the end of Lennon's reign and that will now be the case once again. The shoogly peg will need to be fixed yet again for a Hibs manager.
Cabbage is still good for you

The big test is going to come over the next half dozen games and will probably give us a good idea in which direction we are travelling. A few more results and performances like the one at Ibrox is not acceptable for a team with any great ambitions and will likely see a change at the helm. Fingers crossed we may just have had a hiccup.
