F A CUP FINAL
#21
Final score of 4-0 makes this the heaviest cup final defeat since 1994. Shame Arsenal didn't go for the jugular after the third, because the all-time record is 6-0, and they could have breezed that with a bit of effort.

Cheers Arsenal, you've spared us what would have been an insufferable summer Laugh

Glad the same Arsenal that tonked us last week decided to turn up against Villa. I did have some niggling doubts but that was as one-sided a cup final that you'll ever see. Poor Timmy did not look happy!

Couldn't bear to watch the match but, apparently, it's a good job they didn't nick a shot on target, or we might have had to suffer a pitch invasion, in front of a billion viewers.

Aston Villa have brought shame and embarrassment to the proud City of Birmingham, and it was televised throughout the World. As a Brummie, I blush. Gateshead would have given Arsenal more of a game.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Question?

Are the Vile now committed to the Euoropean Adventure?? With a Chairman looking to sell the club, Benteke (Their only asset) looking to move. I forecast League 1 awaits the mighty Vile. DD Thumb up Thumb up

Villa had two shots, neither of them on target.

No they have changed the rules so the loser in the FA cup now doesn't get a place in Europa league if winner qualifies for Europe.
So that place now goes instead to highest placed league team not in Europe.
In short villa not in Europe.

So Southampton qualify I think.
