F A CUP FINAL - drewks - 27-05-2015 NOW I get it! In our last fairly meaningless game, we decide to bolster Arsenal's confidence and gift them several very early goals - a special boost of confidence is shovelled in the direction of the mercurial Theo Walnut who has definitely got the ability to tear Villa apart. 17 - 1 to Arsenal, and an awful lot of credit goes, of course, to US ![]() ![]() RE: F A CUP FINAL - talkSAFT - 28-05-2015 I've only missed 1 Cup Final since 1958 - that was 2000. Shan't be watching this Year either. What's the connection?? RE: F A CUP FINAL - Luke_East_Baggie - 28-05-2015 Still a bit annoyed that we played Villa in their "awful run" period of the season, and gifted the most both survival, and a cup final, with our 2 defeats at their place. I'll be cheering for Arsenal, but in general I'd want the Midlands clubs to win a bit of silver ware from time to time. RE: F A CUP FINAL - May68 - 28-05-2015 LEB totally agree. I'm still angry about losing to them twice in a week. I think they were by far the worst results of the season when you consider local pride, pre-match hype and form as well as the actual importance of the matches. Tim Sherwood had lost his first two games in charge of Villa before they played us but afterwards they were on such a high. RE: F A CUP FINAL - Worldclassalbion - 28-05-2015 Bollox to The Villa, C'mon Arsenal RE: F A CUP FINAL - BBB - 28-05-2015 I can see the game being a bit special, and have lots of goals with Arsenal in dominate form. I would like to see the cup coming to the Midlands though. Though as someone has mentioned, I am also bloody annoyed that they - Villa - dumped on us twice during a bad spell, otherwise we could have been there. RE: F A CUP FINAL - Stairs - 29-05-2015 6-0 Arsenal RE: F A CUP FINAL - betterthanbaird - 29-05-2015 I'm nervous that Villa could win, they shouldn't but they're definitely capable of causing problems for Arsenal. They've got quite a lot of pace and Benteke can bully their defenders. RE: F A CUP FINAL - Worldclassalbion - 29-05-2015 I have put a fiver on the Vile at 5/1 because I don't mind losing a fiver but £30 back if I get pissed off. ![]() RE: F A CUP FINAL - Squirrel Regis - 30-05-2015 ÎKReally hope Arsenal stuff Villa out of sight. 5 or 6 nil and a total football lesson. ![]() Sorry but this Midlands football thing I don't get. Yes I love local derbies but I don't want villa or wolves to win anything. |
