Bringing one of our academy products back on loan from the Vile, Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba's 6 month loan, (who we did at least get a reasonable fee for) is expected to be announced imminently and is being brought in to add to midfield and fill the gap left by Grant I would assume.

And Iling-Junior departing to Pisa. Just didn’t work out for him

Yes, looks like it’s ‘leaning’ that way Whistle

What a crock of shit, people will know I always try and look on the positive side. However, this window has been uninspiring at the best.

We have lost Wildsmith, replaced by O’Leary

Imray in, we needed a wing back, but is he any good, didn’t look it, first 45 mins v Portsmouth was not good, then pulled off. Transfermarkt says his value is 300k, but Gilchrist has a value of 4m. He doesn’t look like he is worth that either.

Midfield, lost Iling junior but replaced by Jamal jimoh, any improvement, I don’t think so.

No midfield work horse signed, who we have needed for years now.

Why do we keep doing deals with Palace, parish hates us.

Why do we deal with Villa, a team that has cherry picked our academy for years.

There are lots of other teams we could do deals with!

All teams round us are picking points up, all the way to Oxford. So I think we will be relegated.

I have a mindset that we are going to League 1. Let’s hope we can consolidate and start moving the other way, even if we have to wait till next season.

Who do I blame for this, not Patel, I blame Lai, Lai & Lai.

I hope Patel, backs us when he can. In summer 2026 he should be free from the restrictions due to the losses we incurred in 2023-2024.

On a positive, here’s hoping.

I believe we have managed to be weaker after the window then before it opened. Our recruitment has been rubbish for years. Pearce and his recruitment team need sacking all of them immediately. And before anybody says they don't have money so they cannot buy or loan any players. So why employ 20 recruitment staff if they can't do anything. Get rid of them.

Our recruitment policy, both for players and management, seems to be simply having endless "punts" and hoping one comes good.

The 2 lads who have come in today have played 8 minutes of senior league football between them.

Imray who joined last week hadn't played above League 1 before his 45 mins at Portsmouth.

Don't get me wrong, these players appear to have plenty of pedigree and youth level and Jimoh-Aloba scored in the Europa League for Villa last week.

However, is a Championship dog fight really the place to nurture players who haven't played league football before? I'm not sure it is.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope they all turn out to be world beaters and help us stay up. But for me, the window screams of us being totally skint without a clue of what we need.

The Illing-Junior departure seems strange to me. I appreciate he's been poor recently and the fan base generally hate him, but he was getting picked by the manager and is actually capable of getting up and down at wing-back, a position that the manager seems intent on picking despite it being blatantly obvious it doesn't work. Are we really that skint that we need to free up his salary to pay a couple of lads who are coming from u21 football?

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're in the sh1t now. I don't see how we stay up with this personnel.

Not to mention the clown in charge...

This window we were desperate for an experienced leader in the centre of the pitch and we have brought in prospects.

After that, freefall. Relegation to league 1 when you're totally skint isn't a good place to be.

The few players that are worth selling - Mikey and Heggebo - will go. Grant, Maja and Dike will leave for free. And they'll be replaced with players who can't play like Diakite and Price.

Fair play to the owners for saving us financially, but on the footballing side, this season has turned into disaster.

I just hope that one of these youngsters - by blind luck - turns out to be a world beater. That's all we've got to hang our hat on.
