When I tell you I went to the football because I thought it might cheer me up and come home thinking I'd have been better off spending the day on the cancer ward, I think that will tell you all you need to know about the game today.

At work, we have one Wednesday fan. His daughter plays football for a local junior team and they were the pre match flag wavers on Saturday.

And despite getting piss wet through, and not seeing any goals scored, she enjoyed it so much and has talked him into taking her to the City game on Wednesday night.

I think we've a new fan there. Get them in, make it cheap enough for mum n dad and the future fans will be there.
