They maybe what their referring to ..... I do not know what is alleged to have been said exactly only that it referred to a sad and distressing time for Jake, his family and friends.

That is exactly the connection I was trying to figure out whether Livermore was ever at Spurs or something. More likely an excuse put forward by someone else.

He's been at Spurs and Leeds. It's used as a derogatory term to Leeds players / fans too.

The Football Association have confirmed that West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jake Livermore will face no action following the West Ham game.

The match took place at the London Stadium earlier this month and Livermore was involved in an angry exchange with a fan following the 28 year old's substitution in the two one loss.

Beat me to it Beefy, good to see the F.A. using common sense. According to Sky Sports the fan has been issued with a life ban from the stadium. I did love their line though "The FA has reminded Livermore of his responsibilities as a professional player, but mainly with regard to not entering the supporters' area for his own safety, rather than passing comment on whether his reaction was justified or not."

I think the F.A. response to the incident implies that the action was justified otherwise they would have charged him.

That's a shame ....... he is now free to carry a shirt throughout 90 mins Whistle Whistle Whistle

Only kidding, good news that the FA have used common sense. I would have thought the FA would have cleared the London club / fans of any blame, banned all our fans for life docked us 30 points this year and every season for the next decade Whistle Whistle Whistle

Well done West Ham, (never saw myself saying that phrase).

West Ham United have issued an indefinite ban to the supporter involved in a verbal altercation with West Bromwich Albion's Jake Livermore," the statement read.

"After a full investigation conducted by the club, which included statements from supporters in close proximity of the incident and evidence from Jake Livermore and West Bromwich Albion officials, the individual was found to have violated a number of London Stadium ground regulations.

"The individual will be unable to attend home or away matches with immediate effect. Inciting or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated at London Stadium, and we urge any supporters who witness similar behaviour on match-days to report it anonymously by texting or calling 07537 404821, where all information is treated in the strictest of confidence."
