Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?

Back in the mid 90s I used to keep count and was up to 76 (60 something with Wednesday) of the then 92 league grounds in England and Wales and 6 Scottish grounds. Since then of course a lot of new stadiums have been built so while I went to Highbury a number of times, I have yet to be to the Emirates. After moving to the states the only new ground I have been to in the UK is the new Wembley Stadium!! Now I keep track of the baseball stadiums I have been to and currently stand at 18 out of the 30 MLB stadiums having picked up my latest one a couple of weeks ago in San Diego.

I've been to Fenway Park for an actual game, in October 2013, and saw the Boston Red Sox beat Detroit Tigers. The game started at something like 8 pm and finished just after midnight. Unforgettable!

Fenway is one of the 12 I haven't yet been to!!! Along with Wrigley Field in Chicago (which I have been to!!), its one of the iconic baseball stadiums and is now over 100 years old!! Definite bucket list item for me!!

Union Berlin are a wonderful club Aries. They have never played in the Bundesliga and this season they achieved their highest ever finish by finishing in 4th place in the Zweite Bundesliga. Promotion to the Bundesliga is the aim for next season. Their stadium has three standing terraces and one seated terrace which helps with their special atmosphere. The next time you're in Berlin you should look into watching a game, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Very few apart from the obvious ones. All West Midland clubs except Coventry.
(Most enjoyable was watching Wolves getting stuffed 0-6 by Liverpool; and a former player scoring a hat-trick against his old club. Anyone remember  Alan Evans.

Leicester (Filbert St)
Swansea (The Vetch and The Liberty)
Chesterfield (for a cup replay against the Saddlers)
Anfield
Hereford Untd ( To see them play Preston when Bobby Charlton was Preston's player/manager but he dropped himself and didn't play)
And of course Whaddon Road to watch Cheltenham.

May add Oxford Untd this season as the Robins have a pre-season friendly there.

Non League would be Halesowen Town and Alvechurch (back in their glory glory days of the Amateur Cup)

Only been to the old Wembley twice to watch:- Halesowen play Rugby in the 1983 FA Vase final
and a match against  Scotland at full international. Cant remember the year but England won and scored 3 goals the first from Frannie Lee. If I remember correctly Scotland had a Birmingham City player in goal that night. Can't remember his name. Confused

A what a terrible memory; just google'd it.

It was 1969 and England won 4-1 with two goals apiece for Peters and Hurst.
The Birmingham City goalkeeper was Jim Herriot.

Another Senior moment. Doh

Josh, I have learned something, thank you! I will definitely try to take in a Union Berlin game on my next visit there. It looks a proper ground.
