Rangers have so far have 142 shots this season, an average of nearly 18 per game. They have 66 on target so score one in every two there.

------------------------------

Technically just under 1 in 2. 66 on target, 30 goals.

Still, impressive stats.

Another clinical Display and the goal diff keeps ticking over. Wee Barry man of the match for me what a revelation, never thought the boy would make it. Glad to be proved wrong.

McKay had a great game and looks a real player now. In retrospect I've got to say his loan spells were probably the best thing for him. He's also now at the best place to develop further.

Another good performance, though the sending off probably turned the game a little, I only saw it going one way. Think the second sending off was not done as the ref thought he may have over reacted in the first one. Personally I think both probably should have went re letter of the law, but it made for a better game this way. BM played well, but the whole team did.

Referee had a shocker, to be fair. Missed the stamp on Zelalem completely, only booking the boy for the initial foul, then sending off Lyle for next to nothing - I think the 4th official had some retribution there against the Queen's manager as he'd been giving him pelters all first half according to wee Chico on the radio - then booking Tavernier to basically make it look like he was balancing things out.

I don't think the penalty should have been a red though, as I'm not sure Ball would have actually reached the ball if unimpeded, therefore it wasn't a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

Haven't checked the stats yet but they must have had 7 players booked in the end. Should have been more too. Far too many late challenges gone unpunished today. Again.

International break coming up now, but for a change it doesn't matter as our game next weekend goes ahead regardless. We'll at least have some proper football to watch in between the inevitable disappointments the national team have in store for us.

And with Hibs' game against our nearest rivals Falkirk scheduled to be cancelled, we're in a position to further stretch our lead at the top of the league.

Everything's beginning to fall into place nicely.

I could watch this team play every day.

Goals and victories just have an inevitability about them.

QoS could have finished this game with 8 men - how many times so is Zelalem allowed to be kicked in a game, can somebody check the rules? I'll this for the boy, up and at 'em uncowed and unbowed.

He'd better get used to it if he wants to play in Britain so I suppose the Championship is as good a learning ground for him as any in that respect. Some great football in the boy though, and in the team as a whole. A few hopeful back heels to no one in this game though. A bit of flair is great but end product still has to be high on the agenda.

Action from Sunday 30/08/2015 : Queen of the South 1-5 Rangers

Fair play to the QotS goalscorer Smith, who stayed on his feet to score, rather than going down for a penalty.
