Huddersfield Town v Rotherham United

There's little difference between any of the clubs in the championship hence the reason why lower placed clubs regularly beat the higher placed one's.  Town only need to sign around three quality players to become a team capable of challenging for a play-off place and this will involve Hoyle paying them more than he is currently prepared to do. It's a folly to sign players such as Edgar who couldn't even command a regular place with fellow strugglers Birmingham.

If Town had more quality the results would look after themselves and this in turn this would bring more fans through the turnstiles.  I reckon regular home attendances  of around 18000 would be achievable if winning and more attractive football was regularly on offer.  If the likes of Bournemouth can do it on around gates of 10000, then there must be plenty of hope for Town.  All we need is for Hoyle to recognise that his current self-sustaining strategy is not working and never will and he needs to recognise that applying sensible business strategies will never work when applied to the crazy game of professional football.

Too many Town fans have been brainwashed into believing that what we have right now is about as good as it's ever likely to be whilst we remain in the championship, but this attitude stinks of defeatism to me and the solution is all down to Hoyle and his fellow advisors and, if he isn't prepared to dig deeper into his already very deep pockets,  then he needs to sell up and give someone else a chance.
