RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - drewks - 14-12-2015 ....just like to add a comment about Mozza - "What a player"! IMO we're so lucky to have him, he works his socks off and is so cultured with or without the ball. Also, Gardner takes a lot of stick but I thought he was very good yesterday RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - BaggieSteve - 14-12-2015 Meandbren, I absolutely agree with you that Liverpool were beatable as they are not a great team........but neither are we and their fans will likely be thinking exactly the same about us. I don't think a point is useless for probably the same reason that Klopp celebrated theirs at the end of the game, namely that it's also about getting something from the game, even if you don't win it, and particularly if you don't expect it. The frustration for me was getting to 95 minutes and conceding but, when you're under that amount of continual pressure, there's a certain inevitability about it. I just wish that we would be more positive when we are either level or winning and not fall back onto "hold onto what you have". Apart from Rondon's effort I dont recall anything of note from us after Jonas scored. If you give any team the amount of possession we gave Liverpool, eventually they'll score RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - tidy - 14-12-2015 I found Klopp's post-match tantrum extremely amusing. 'They can play 'that' football if they like...but not here...never here...it will never be allowed here' One of the funniest rants I've seen since KK was Toon manager. It was played yesterday........ By both teams. If that's the case Jurgen then you're not doing your job, you should be coaching your defenders to avoid it happening. Either that or you're talking cr@p RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 14-12-2015 Very much the pot calling the kettle black from Klopp. I watched Liverpool against Sion in the week and it was one of the most boring games I've ever seen. Didn't exactly play exciting stuff against us either. Dunno if I was missing something, but their goals came from a long ball into the box and a dodgy deflection. They didn't create much from open play either. Gutted not to get the 3 points. Klopp seems just as deluded as his predecessor. I think we need to be realistic for a second. Taking only 1 point when we were on to take all 3 is definitely disappointing, I'll give you that. But a point away from home is a good result no matter where you're playing in the Premier League in my opinion. Take away our points gained by draws so far this season and we'd point a point above the relegation zone. I bet Jose would take a point now if offered with Chelsea trailing Leicester 1-0 at the minute... Hang on. Make that 2-0. Chants of "going down with the Villa" from Leicester's fans at the minute too haha. Glad I decided to watch this! RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 15-12-2015 Says it all. DD ![]() ![]() RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 17-12-2015 Im really getting to like this guy ![]() ![]() West Bromwich Albion attacker James McClean has branded Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp "a bit of an idiot". Tensions ran high during Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Brom at the weekend and Klopp, who took charge at Anfield earlier this season, snubbed a handshake with Baggies boss Tony Pulis at full-time. McClean has claimed that he respects what Klopp has achieved in the game, but has called the German "an idiot". "I have got a lot of respect for the man because he done a great job at [Borussia] Dortmund, but I think he is a bit of an idiot to be honest. On the game on Sunday you can't act that way. Win, lose or draw you have got to be respectful," McClean told BBC Sport.augh: |
