RE: The Big Six Are Off - Blue Baggie - 27-04-2021 The dirty dozen are looking to take more of the lion's share of money from the game. This wouldn't be used to reduce debts IMO. It would fund more transfers, wages and agents fees. History shows us the only way debts are reduced are if clubs go bankrupt or new owners come in, even then new owners the majority of the time just restructure debt or make the mountain higher. It's time players wages were capped. £1 million a year and that's it. Along with the if you're fit and don't play you don't get paid. That would bring some much needed respect back into the game. RE: The Big Six Are Off - Salopbaggie - 03-05-2021 So the latest headline is "Premier League clubs must sign Owners' Charter in wake of European Super League fiasco" so the owners have to sign, with the penalty of "significant sanctions" that they will adhere to the principles of the Premier League. I just find it a bit rich and a shame the Football League did not think to get owners to do the same in 1991. RE: The Big Six Are Off - Baggievicar - 09-06-2021 The big 6 fined 20 million between them. Underwhelmed. RE: The Big Six Are Off - Onetruebaggie - 09-06-2021 Should have been each and give the proceeds to the other 86 clubs in the football league!!! |
