I agree there should be sanctions, but it could be unfair to penalise the players, managers and fans of these clubs as they have been totally against there owners. But something has to be done. Perez the deluded president of totally bust Real Madrid still thinks it’s a good idea he would as he needs the money. I think the Yank owners could soon be a thing of the past because all they want is the American way of Franchising so it’s a closed shop for 20 sides which will never happen in football.

In 2024, two #UCL places will be given to the clubs with the HIGHEST club coefficient that weren't able to qualify to the #UCL through their domestic leagues.

For example, if a club like Manchester United ends up ranked 6th in the Premier League, they would still qualify.

This is whats coming next according to the press in Spain.

It still rewards recent failure and past success whichever end you suck it. Complete and utter bollocks.

For us the fans it's interesting to see what happens to the dirty dozen. We have to be realistic and fines won't achieve anything. Points deductions won't hurt them. I would ban any new incoming transfers for 3 years. That might get them off the perches they have made for themselves. This may help close the gap between the level / quality of the top sides and give the rest of us a chance to catch up?

I have a horrible feeling that this is the start of the process. As he says, it’s not gone away. It will be reviewed and represented at some time soon - it is a matter of time before greed and the media (not much difference) will endorse a variation and we have a European Super League.

They’ll likely accept a qualification process for the first season eg Top 3 clubs from various European leagues and will agree a relegation model for all future seasons.

But it is coming. We have seen the crude version of what is to come a few seasons from now.

Real Madrid are are €901 million in debt so they have to keep pushing it, there is a good chance they will go bankrupt if the new league does not go ahead. A bit smelly though when you think Real Madrid are also looking to expand their stadium which they say would raise an extra €150 million per year for them. That would add, €575 million extra, to their existing debt and guess who is fronting a large amount of the cost for this extension. None other than J.P. Morgan who also are the financiers behind the Super League putting up €6 BILLION for that.

Don’t be so sure,it’s coming Perez and Morgan along with the other signed up clubs have seen the wrath of fans , managers and players. The Greedy well in debt clubs virtually tried to do it the American way by setting up a Franchise super league of a closed shop. Remember it’s the greed of these owners who led the takeover who’s clubs are in the biggest debt. Madrid, Barcelona and Glaziers at Utd. The likes of Abromovich and the Billionaire owners of Man City only went along with it so they didn’t get left behind.. little did any of them know the depth of I’ll feeling it would cause.

The cheek of these people, claiming they need the ESL or clubs will go bankrupt. Newsflash Sherlock. Try living within your revenue streams like everyone else has to. It`s not for the little people to bail out spendthrift football clubs. If I ran up a debt I`m sure i would soon feel the cold hard reality of salary garnish.
