RE: Summer transfers - WakeyTerrier - 20-04-2016

Davidson is nowhere near as bad as some would make him out to be, I thought he did ok last night.

Trouble at Town is some fans don't know what they want. At right back Tommy smith defends well but gets a nose bleed when he crosses halfway and get blasted for it. On the other side we have Jason Davidson who doesn't defend as well but does get forward more and can put a cross in as good as anyone at the club.

Do I think he'll be here next season...no
If he was would he be 1st choice...no
Would he be ample cover for Loŵe..yes.

I have faith in Wagner.

On another note, in the past we wouldn't sign players on pre contracts...Clibbo would say it's just wasted money paying wages throughout the summer. It's now refreshing to see us getting players signed up on precontracts who will come in and get to have a full pre season....well done everyone at the club

Wagner wants options in each position. So now we have 4 centre halves unless one leaves. It gives more rotation option so hudson and lynch are no longer guaranteed starters and also they are not undropable due to no back up.

Think if you look at the teams with the better defences they have quality in terms of starters but they also have backup who is good enough to keep them in their toes or replace them if need be.

Loads of Dresden fans on Town's Facebook page telling us what a great player he is. Solid and dependable with a good shot by the sound of it.

RE: Summer transfers - MNTerrier - 21-04-2016

town linked with German striker, Wagner linked with Celtic

so basically whats happening is Town are being linked with every german lower division player who wants a move and Wagner is being linked with every open managers job

silly season begun early this year

RE: Summer transfers - theo_luddite - 21-04-2016

Silly season started when they gave so called reporters office jobs pounding a laptop with an HTML connection and a mouse to squeeze rather than a phone that plugs into the wall, a car allowance and expenses on worn shoe leather to go and find some proper stories. Silly season is now 24/7/52. You don't have to wait for the Summer break or for the Xmas sprouts to boil anymore (let alone get soft) for the crap to get published as so called fact.

RE: Summer transfers - Lord Snooty - 21-04-2016

Exactly. And it's bollox anyway about Wagner interesting Celtic. They're about to appoint Steve Evans in the job.   Laugh

Two new keepers required?
Steer only on loan and now the news that Murphy will be out for six months following a shoulder operation.

RE: Summer transfers - MNTerrier - 23-04-2016

reports in T'unexamined that town are trying to get Paterson on a permanent deal but with the ownership/manager situation at Forrest everything is up in the air

Steer and Huws will go back

RE: Summer transfers - theo_luddite - 23-04-2016

Steer and Huws on big money. Would need to wind their expectations in big time for us. If Huws plays for Wales in Euro 16 then someone with more brass than us will put a bid in

RE: Summer transfers - Lord Snooty - 26-04-2016

New contract for Hudson. Includes transition into coaching. Thumb up
