At ten to five, we were winning and Newcastle were drawing! What bastard invented stoppage time, eh? Rolleyes

I suppose when the dust settles we'll take that as a decent point, although it feels like daylight robbery right now. We really need to have our heads screwed on and concentration at maximum for the next three though. If we start handing out points as Christmas presents to the sides below us, we're going to get dragged right into the dogfight.

Annoyed we couldn't hold onto the lead, but in truth Liverpool were all over us for most of the game so you can't complain too much.
There's a bit of daylight between us and the relegation zone, but we could do with a win at some point. Draws won't keep us up, but just lull everyone into a false sense of security.

Blimey after a great run of results against top teams we are still only 6 points above relegation !!!
Thanks Bournemouth and Newcastle.
Think we will have to match Bournemouth's will and endeavour next week to win
I mean they have just won at chelsea and at home to Man Utd,
A couple of weeks ago we would have been favorites
Now our next two home games are amazingly against two in -form teams

But delighted with how our team is starting to play and im sure we can look after ourselves Thumb up

Good result even after we went so close to winning. Gotta love set pieces.

Draws v the so called top teams should be good enough if others fail when they play them. They should be bonus points. But only if we beat those around us (like Chelsea ?)

It's an exciting league this season. Almost anyone can beat anyone else!

I am not happy with just a point from any game we play. Some will say it’s better
than no points but it really isn’t. It’s a sop to delude people into thinking we are
doing better than we really are. Drawn games kill teams. They give them a false
sense of having achieved something when in reality they have simply reduced the
opportunities to get three points by one game. A draw is worth just one third of
a win and is as useless as a Frisbee in a first aid kit. We let the Liverpool fans become
an extra man and lift their average team to score again. We threw away two points.
If the professional footballers who represent The Albion don’t see it this way on
Monday morning then we really are in trouble.

Don't forget the season before last with Clarke/Downing/Mel, when we got about 15 draws or something silly like that. We sleep-walked into a relegation fight despite going home reasonably content most weeks.

A good point although feeling a bit robbed to be honest. I think we would've accepted a share of the points before kick off. Only suffered one defeat from 5 tough games and gained 6 pts which is very pleasing.

Now we have to try our best to get a win against a Bournemouth side that will be full of confidence.
While doing that, Sunderland travel to Chelsea, Norwich visit Man Utd and Newcastle Utd face Villa at St James'.

3pts at home next Sat for the Baggies could be huge if other results are positive.

MMMMMMmmm
A few things on westbrom.com and twitter,

Firstly our disallowed goal, yes it was offside but seemed a age for it to be given, linesman did not flag and the consensus of opinion is that the ref gave it because the stadium played a replay of the goal which is against premiership rules !
Naughty if true anybody throw any light on this ?

Secondly sky news showing the Liverpool players and Klopp celebrating in front of the kop like they have just won the league , supporters in a frenzy cheering them have i missed something?

Also Klopp was very harsh in his interview saying it would have been bad to lose to a team that does not play football, just long ball and set pieces Angry

Oh these big teams just don't like it up em.
Be interesting to see what Pulis says especially the offside goal Sick

Well said, Beefy.  Do you think that goal on half-time would have been chalked off if Liverpool had scored it?  Then a great big deflection from a speculative shot almost on full time.  Spawny gets!

Two questions:

Have Liverpool now won the league?

Is this an Albion supporters' site?
