But we did let allan go to a bigger club,so we didn't renege on any 'verbal' agreement.
I'd imagine if hibs were serious about selling him to rangers some kind of price would have been discussed,and it would have been nowhere near the kind of money they were offering. King is just trying to spin a more palatable version of events to their fans,who were raging about the deal not happening.

You're reaching a bit there. Don't think there are any Rangers fans raging we didn't get Allan in the end, and there were plenty who didn't think he was worth paying for in the first place. The squad is infinitely better than it was when we were first interested and to be frank I don't see where he would fit in to the side these days. I'm not a knuckle-dragger, fred, but I'm sad to say most of what you post strongly suggests you are. Sad to see in this day and age, but maybe when your kind have died out there'll be a greater culture of respect and dignity in the country, and we won't be beset by the bigotry and parochialism that currently blights certain areas of society.
