Meanwhile King Dave has his crystal ball out

and you do have to wonder if his comments regarding player acquisition might have and effect on the team.

I also think that the squad could be improved, but these boys have hardly begun to show just what they might be capable of - why upset the apple cart. Let them come to fruition and then judge them.

Could be argued that those players that feel threatened by King's words have a perfect opportunity to step up to the plate and prove him wrong.

Starting with the St Johnstone game in a couple of weeks.

We have to remember that three of our current players are loanees, Oduwa, Ball and Zelalem, so I assume the extra 5 players DK refers to takes that into account.
There is no reason for Rangers to not continue to use the loan market in the future, I am sure Mark Warburton will continue to use loanees where it is beneficial to Rangers. It is a wrench to 'lose' a loanee if that player has been outstanding for Rangers and of course there is no long term benefit to Rangers in terms of player sell-on value.
However, if a loanee helps the team to win trophies then we should appreciate the service given by the loanee and wish him well in his future career. Having played for Rangers the player might well opt for Rangers, if Rangers want him, should his Club wish to transfer him out at a later stage in his career. One never knows, but we might see our current three loanees come back permanently !

Personally think that should just be left as is now, but obviously most may well think otherwise. I quite like the phoenix way at moment and all it could stand for
#6
I think the oldco regaining the club is a no-go due to the Uefa rules on changes of club ownership. Would mean another three year wait for European football.
#7
Sure it's no crystal meth he's got out
#8
Potentially RIFC or RFC Ltd could buy the old company and then transfer the 'club' to it without any ramifications regarding league status or European football. After all, that's exactly what Celtic did when they transferred their club to a brand new company.

That would send the cat among the pigeons, or the grey and white hordes...

Whether it happens or not. he's making the right noises.
