KKH got the man of the match award. No problems with that. He's getting better every time he plays. He and Rudoni played well together, particularly in the first half. Holmes as well, stuck out on the left, but drifting in, as he did with the goal. I think Rotherham were baffled by our tactics or more likely, our unchanged line up, lining up in different positions. Perhaps a bit of the old Carlos confusion coming back there. Is that down to Narcis?

I would've given MoM to the old timer, Jordan Rhodes. He played his best game of the season, doing all the hard work he's not normally associated with and hopefully that 100th goal will come in the next month. He's on 97 now.

The second goal was definitely a Carlos tactic. Bore the pants off everybody by passing the ball between Boyle, Lees, Helik, KKH and Nicholls. The crowd getting restless, then as soon as their number three moved out of position to try to intervene, bang, we're in. A good one-two with Rudoni and KKH is off down the wing, pass to Jordan and the ball's in the back of the net.

The main reason we're back in winning ways though? Well having Jonathan Hogg back is one. He and Kasumu look a good pairing in midfield. I like Camara, but he's not got the aggression of these two yet.

Is Sorba now going to be used as an impact sub, the way that Diarra was at Preston? Or will it be wholesale changes for Luton and a return to the rubbish we've endured all season? Can't wait to find out. And that's something I wouldn't have believed when I wrote the main article for this thread. I was very pessimistic and didn't really want to come to the Rotherham game. Glad I did.

Thought we were far more comfortable than I expected us to be, though with The Millers having their best player crocked in the previous game it likely put them out of shape a bit too. We left the back gates open a couple of times when they really should have scored though.

Duane Holmes excellent in the first half, always trying to turn and attack with the ball, something we have lacked most of the season.

More of the same against Luton please

I'm delighted for you. 2-0 or 3-0 would've have been a score I'd have dreamed of for you. I certainly didn't believe you'd get it. Maybe your manager does know what he is doing. I hope so, but Luton's return to form under Edwards is worrying.

And it may be cynical of me, but when an old-stager suddenly starts working his socks off around a transfer window it seems to be making a case for him either to stay where he is, or for someone to come and get him. I can't help asking why now, and why is he playing in that way when once upon a time he was a feared, but certainly not a hyper-active striker.

Anyway come on you Terriers - even a 1-1 against Luton will surprise those around you.

I'd suggest Rhodes is playing better because there are more players getting forward to support him. All season, he or Danny Ward have been isolated figures, going through the motions, getting scraps to feed off.

In the short time Rhodes and Ward have been on the pitch together, they got in each other's way rather than worked as a partnership. When Jordan scored all his goals the first time around, he had Pilks, Roberts, Novak and Theo Robinson up there with him. Enough to scare any defence to pieces.
