Suspect it’s gone until August zero Sport until then, our cricket league starts 18/4 think that’s a no goer given a shed load of players are in the danger age.
If I don’t play this summer will be hard to get going in 2021.
Have to start reading again

That will please my bro'. He's serially (yes I meant that) pissed off at paying more for his season ticket than we do.

So (ahem) 15-20K can't watch a match in Huddersfield but little ol' Halifax are ok to run a promotion to up their gate from ~ 1500 to oooooh, 1600?

As much as I like me bro' I'm not driving 220+ miles to watch a match at the Shay.

Looks like I'll be joining the first cuckoos of spring and mowing the grass in the back garden then.

You know what the only fair way of finishing this season off is?
To reform the Pools Panel.
It will probably mean Town get relegated though. Them twats always had us losing. I was always shouting "rubbish" at the telly at 5 o'clock on a winter's Saturday teatime. Big Grin

Cancel the Euros now. Restart this season in July, ending sometime in August/September. Start the next season in November, finishing in September  2021. Then play the Euros and start the next season in January 2022. This would then finish the season in time for the World Cup in Qatar.
So what happens then? Well we either have a Feb to Nov season or we just wait til Aug 2022 to start a new season and get back on track.
This is just me thinking off the top of my head following a particularly boring day at work. Whatever does happen, it will be the people pulling the purse strings who have the final say, not the fans.

Wayne Rooney agrees with me. His Sunday Times column says what I said here. Smartass

Spanish media are reporting UEFA will announce tomorrow that we go with current standings if the leagues can't be continued.

I don't think you can, take the Premier League for instance. Aston Villa have 1 game in hand and should they win that they would no longer be in the bottom 3

In League 1 Wycombe have a game in hand that should they draw would see them make the Play Offs

The only sensible options are
1) Complete the season, this would depend on when they can get back playing

or

2) Abandon the season, null and void and everyone starts afresh next August(if we are back playing by then)

Yes Clubs like WBA and Leeds would feel hard done by, this is something nobody has ever seen before. Lives are at risk and the most important thing is the health and well being of everybody...not the money that will be lost by failure to play a season out.
