Not so sure about the gate money controlling the debt.
I know before Arsenal moved into their new stadium, they were earning over £1Million a GAME less than Man Utd. And that was just on gate money.
Put it another way, if Bournemouth have gates of 10,000, and let's say Middlesbrough have gates of 20,000, and they both have the same average ticket price (say £20).....then Middlesbrough will earn £200,000 more per GAME.
Over a season (23 games), that's £4.6 Million.
I agree that in the Prem that's nothing compared to the TV money, but it's more than significant in the Championship and below.

I don't know the facts and I'm just guessing here but I imagine it costs more to watch AFCB than it does MFC.
The average price of a adult season card (not inc executive areas) is £540 (£23.48) that you would imagine would rise next season by at least 20% despite a drop in the amount of league games.
AFCB currently have a best ever figure of 6411 season card holders taking up roughly 61% of the home capacity(quite impressive). You can bet that figure will increase to near 10k in the Premier League with a few tickets left to provide the odd glory hunter with a chance of seeing Roomey and Co in the Prem at much inflated ticket prices.
All of a sudden little old Bournemouth have hit the football jackpot, limited capacity but massive demand

I was referring to Prem League income, not Championship income Shep. For every side, the TV deal is the number one source of income, especially once you factor in match day fees too. The top 4 get most coverage and therefore get most income twice over, from where they finish and from TV appearances. That isn't to say that a club with 50-60,000 crowds isn't going to do better than one only getting 10,000 crowds, but even by going up and coming straight back down they are going to be anything up to £100 million better off as a starting point. Just depends on how daft they go with that first lump of £40 million when they go up in an effort to stay up.
As far as the Championship is concerned the difference in gate money is not as significant as the near £10 million parachute payment* that Wolves (Blackburn and Bolton, relegated with them) still get this season - and that total will increase substantially for relegated clubs when the details of the new deal roll through. This season is the last one these three will get it, so they are all, let's say, a little keen to get back up as otherwise they will be on the same deal as us next season. I would argue only Wolves have a higher level of support than the other two compared to us and I can't see all three of them going up. I can't see all 3 of them getting to the play-off's to be honest.
*(Each club is currently paid £24m in the first year back in the Championship, £19.2m in year two, £9.6m in year three and another £9.6m in the final year. The Prem Chairmen want to change this to 3 years when the new deal kicks in - reported last September).

Please let's also never mention again how poor Everton are compared to everyone else. How they do things on a budget and over-perform year after year, blah blah blah.
Getting £51Million in 2012/13 and being the 7th richest in England should almost guarantee they finish in the top 7 every year.

That's enough to pay a large squad of 40 players £29,847.26 a week EACH
And that's just money from TV and Premier League....never mind the cash from gate receipts and tat from the club shop
